Ok, I know we said no politics on this forum  But with all the current events there were so many topics I wanted to talk to you guys about and couldn't teenyviolin

So Essie and I thought about opening up a seperate Member's Only (means you have to be logged in to read and write) area just for politics. So what do you think?

I'm all for opening the discussions back up as long as we keep it to "discussions". But I guess that would be our jobs right :)

MAny things happen in our lives every day that are affected by politics. Everything from raising our kids to buying our gas. We are all mature enough not to resort to name calling and personal commentary, I think! SOemtimes it heolps just to hear someone else's opinion.

I think its a great idea to have a separate area where we can go and have a good talk about some of the "meatier" topics that occur in all our lives - be it polictical or some not so PC subjects ..For me as long as there are some basic guidelines in place , that we all agree to abide by , I think it will make for some interesting and thought provoking discussions...

I'm fine with having a section for politics, etc. but I do think it's very important that it is a separate section. Sometimes I enjoy that type of discussion, but there are times when I (and I'm sure others too) come here to escape all that, and I think it's important that we feel we can come here without accidentally stumbling onto topics we don't want to deal with.

My concept is that it will be very separate and clearly labled and with very clear rules of discussion. Like you said, there are days it's fun, and then there are days you want to ignore it.
