I had to share this.... Yesterday we took my daughter to the drive-thru safari that is in LA. My husband and I both had our windows down, so that my daughter could feed the animals as we went ( we bought feed for them). Zebra's, which my daughter loves came to my husbands side.... and when I turned around to look back out my window....... I had a BUFFALO in my face... Inches from me.... I freaked out... It was so embarrassing, I know the vehicles close to us heard me screaming. My husband laughed his butt off and told me I should be glad I didn't bring the video camera because I would of been on some kind of funniest video type show if he had his way... Damn those buffalo! Like always, I forgot to take my camera, so we had to take pictures on the cellphone, they turned out very tiny once I put them on the computer but if y'all would like to see them I will upload them. |

All I know is that he wasn't a friendly looking buffalo.... when I tried to roll my window up, he was still trying to stick his head in... If I could of climbed in my husbands lap I would have! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() These aren't really good pictures, but they are the only ones that are large enough to see. The camel licked my window....eww. lol. My daughter was terrified of them... They were huge! Edited by chea, Jan 26 2009, 11:39 PM.

Ohh, the pics are cool! We were at a zoo once and you could feet the giraffes there. That was pretty cool. They had a bridge over the giraffe area and you were on an eye-to-eye level with them. My son loved it but it was also a little gross |

Chea , the pictures are fantastic...If you ever come to England there is a fantastic Safari park at a place in Wiltshire called Longleat that you must visit...you can drive through lions, tigers , wolves enclosures , theres another section where you go through and monkeys climb on your cars ..theres also a boat ride on a lake full of seallions , around an island where gorillas live ( only 1 now because 1 died ) ( they have there own satallite telly ) ..love places like that and the childrens faces when the animals come close is magical ...

Sounds like Mr. Buffalo was expecting you go feed him something. Sorry it scared you and I'm glad your daughter enjoyed it. |

It was... I felt so bad later that I didn't feed him ... They are basically trained to assoc. cars with food, so he just wanted a bite of what everyone else was getting! I was playing with the emu... I could roll my window up, and hold the white cup up and move it and it would follow the cup and peck the window.( I wanted to see if that was what it was "chasing".... of course I gave it some food.. We are going back when my mother brings my niece down to visit... I'm going to feed the poor buffalo then! |

That sound really neat, and the pics are cool, but a buffalo in my face would freak me out. Looking back though it is pretty humourous. |
