What an afternoon i've had, just spent 1/2 an hour on the phone to probably a call centre in India & that's calling from the UK, i can hardly understand the agent & the agent can hardly understand me.

My daughter shoud have received unlimited texts @ 10am on the 24th January, top up £10 ($14) receive 300 free texts, top up £30 ($42) or more receive unlimited texts, she has topped up £50 ($70) in total this month and yet received nothing.

Jeez trying to explain so the agent could understand, i wanted to scream down the phone at him catfight from what i could understand he was trying to tell that it's a automated service, it would have at 10am 24th January been sent to my daughters phone (and it bloody hasn't RRRant ) of course these automated services never go wrong like do they!!! elctrc

I asked to speak to a supervisor and of course hung on for ages, was then told that the Supervisor would ring me back in 10 mins, what a surprise 1hr later still no return call RRdisgust

I'm not going to let this rest, will wait till about 5 0'clock then contact them again, fingers crossed.

Ugh, I don't like Call Centers (and I worked at one). I don't understand why they transfer them to India anyways! Sure it's cheaper but the customer service sucks.

Sorry to hear about your phone problems. I hope they get it resolved quickly and satisfactorily. I have a similar story.

Last Christmas '07 I bought my daughter a Compaq laptop with a service plan. It had major probs and spent more time in the shop last year than out. And if you count the time at home it wasn't working til it could go back to the shop you could consider the stupid thing never worked.

Anyways, they junked it out and let her get a new one. I got her an HP Pavilion last Wed. I didn't add any software or hardware (except I tunes for her MP3 player). Friday morning Windows wouldn't load up, so I called Technical help. I got a call center in India I know because we had a nice chat while we waited for the laptop to do a diagnostic test for 1 1/2 hour. However, I had a lot of trouble understanding him and he had a lot of trouble understanding me. We were both getting a little frustrated.

They ended up sending me restoration discs. They came yesterday, and they wanted me to call so they could walk me through the process. This time a lady in India. We had a nice little chat two as we waited nearly 2 hrs for the discs to load things. She was much easier to understand, but I think she had a harder time understanding me. It may be the southern accent. I know I don't always say words correctly, and that is probably hard for people with English as a second language. I realized I say while = like wall. So if I wanted to say I am going to do XXX while this is loading. I would say I am going to do XXX wall this is loading and she would be HUH? That's just one that sticks out in my mind.

sorry to both of you for y'all's trouble... I HATE customer service! I know they are only doing their jobs, but I would rather have teeth pulled with no anesthesia than to have to deal with them....

I have a problem with them similar to Tams... I have an accent and I'm used to hearing people with this same accent, so they can be asking me one thing and I hear it a totally different way...everything gets "lost in translation".

I had one man keep asking me for the "NUMBER" of the card I was calling about... All I could make of it was "NEW" ....
