MONROE, La. (AP) - A 21-year-old Monroe woman charged with aggravated battery allegedly told police she shot her boyfriend because he wouldn't let her sleep. The motive for Saturday's shooting was detailed in an arrest affidavit.

The woman remains in Ouachita Correctional Center with no set bond. She was charged with shooting her boyfriend, who was found by Ouachita Parish sheriff's deputies in his car at an intersection early Saturday. The boyfriend's name was not released.

He had been shot once in the hip and was taken to the LSU Health Sciences Center for treatment. Deputies said they met the suspect walking near the shooting scene and the woman allegedly led authorities to the handgun, which she had thrown into a culvert.

Really?! RRCrazy

Now, I have been known to be pretty tired sometimes, staying up all night with births can do that to you, but I just go to sleep. And there are times that no one could stop me even if they tried! RRSleep

And I don't know how far my husband would have to push me to even think about shooting him!

Yeah, my husband gets couch time if he doesn't let me sleep. Doesn't happen very often though.

I love to sleep.
I hate having my sleep messed with.
I'm a light sleeper, I have to wear a mask and earplugs to go to sleep.
I did not like being married because I had to sleep in bed with someone who kept me awake half the night.

I do kinda sympathize with her.
(Granted, what she did was wrong).

NO sh*T???? Monroe is where we are staying right now! Tech. we are in West Monroe, but we are less then 5 minutes from Monroe! ( It's called the twin cities). That's so crazy, this seems like a pretty nice place, just goes to show you that you can have quacks anywhere

And you didn't hear about it?!

It is always weird to me to hear stories about where I am or where I live...

Yeahtht You turn on the national news and hear about something that happened practically right next door, but you'd heard nothing about it - that happened to me last night. There was a story on Nightline about a church in Seattle that is one of the fastest growing (and most controversial) churches in the country, and I'd never heard of it!
