But i will say one thing though,to all my fellow Sam fans, it think its time, that we Sam girls got loud and proud! Its about time we let Kripke know that we are here and we are loving Sam and wanting more for him this season. If the dean girls can do it and get more, then why the hell cant we?I say we visit as many boards as we can, reply to any and all interviews and ask the same thing every time untill we get noticed...'when is sam gonna get the insight that dean has?'
Im optimistic for season 4,but hey.... better safe than sorry eh?So?What do you guys say? are we on?

Damn good idea, mags. We need to get out there. Especially now fandom is drowning in Dean's issues and squee for the Dean we're going to get next year.

I know full well that Kripke gets inundated with letters from by Dean fans moaning that Dean has nothing in the show, I've seen them talking about having sent them on various sites; we've read Kripke answers to these moans at his TV Guide question thingys; we heard Kripke's comments about it at the L.A convention.

There was another letter about it in the new SPN magazine, this is Kripke's reply...

Quote:

From the words of Kripke in the latest SN magazine:  "...but it's also about how a brother must choose to be either a Guardian or a Destroyer, and whether his familial love will save him or doom him. And that's the story I want to tell. So in my mind, it always has been, always will be, a story about brothers. You can't have Sam without Dean, you can't have Dean without Sam. I think when the whole series is said and done, you'll look back and see that Dean had a clear and steady arc that is vital to Supernatural, that makes him definitively one of the show's leads and heroes, and that the story couldn't have been told any other way."

These people don't shut up and I really think all this noise from them has worked. So we need to be as loud. Get Sam, and Jared, all he deserves. I really want to hear Kripke praising Jared on this years commentaries. Kim Manners always says wonderful things about Jared's work, now I want to hear Kripke say it too this year.
:D

Well I try but sometimes it,s a uphill battle. It is hard to explain to Dean fans who have had Dean given to them that Sam hasnt had the same or his fans all you get well he has the mytharc sl honestly if I hear that again and now it will be Dean went to hell for Sam every time Sam doesnt show gratitude or something.

Time for a mass Sam moan me thinks?

Yeah, I tried earlier over at the other place but no one is going to be listening to any Sam girl in that particular thread. I don't think my concern registered with any of them at all....they are all all too busy drowning in Dean flail. Ho-hum.

Somehow I can so easily see that being thrown around a lot in the next year.

I saw that ....Why for heavens sake should Sam hide his pain away its like What!!! Sam,s pain is a equally as important and besides thats whats been going on for far too long . These people think that Dean,s pain and trauma is all encompassing while Sam, s is trival ?
But whos to blame Dean? no , the writing you bet.

I am so sick of Dean flail! Poor Dean this, Poor Dean that ... and what's worse, Kripke CHANGED his original plot. If that quote you put is true Daisy ... then apparently Supernatural is turning into ... The Martyr Dean Winchester Show.

F'ing Blah!!

I dont know what to expect to be honest as I said over the road?I do expect a badly messed up Dean for sure and thats ok but I dont know why this is bugging me is nearly every post in that thread goes on about traumatised Dean and how Sam should be there for him and his hide his pain to help Dean I mean why should Sam do that?I dont mean not be there but hide his pain or what his been through Dean made the deal he put Sam through this , but Sam,s supposed to hide what he feels so everybody can sympathise with Dean? is there something wrong with this picture ? or am I wrong?

Didn't he already have to hide his pain when John died? I mean, Season 1 dealt a lot with Sam ... the RDF's bitched ... and then it became the Dean show. I am so sick of Dean's lack of self worth ... get over it already!! Move onto something else, sheesh, that is so old the mold is starting to mildew.

Yeah, like he also hid all his feelings about the events of BUABS, the events of Heart, about the fact that he was dead. And so on... <_<

As for Dean's self worth I think his spell in Hell might have a positive effect on that. Yes, we'll have a number of episodes of dripping Dean angst to but maybe the Dean who comes back from Hell is a much stronger Dean than before. He's faced the worst there can be and he's survived, he's paid his debts. I can see that we could get a much more emotionally strong, mature Dean after this. And finally we might see the end of his self esteem issues.

As for Sam hiding his pain I was talking to the original poster of that thought. She pointed out that in S2 they had Sam spill all his feelings about John early on in ELAC and as we know, they never went there again. (Even Kripke says they were wrong about that.) Whereas Dean kept his hidden and the writers dragged out his angst over it for episode after episode, letting us see how tortured he was about it all until he broke. So, this poster was hoping that if they have Sam bottling it all up, we'll get to see what an effect this is all having on him, we'll get to see him slowly breaking until he explodes. Which I would be happy to see. I've been waiting a long time for Exploding!Sam. :D

I would be a Happy Bunny Daisy if they go down that route but this is Sam where talking about and the pessismist in me says not likely. But the optimist in me says they could just do that?so we shall see what happens crossing fingers the half glass full side of me wins.

I was also just wondering about this from that quote of Kripke's...

Quote:

"...but it's also about how a brother must choose to be either a Guardian or a Destroyer, and whether his familial love will save him or doom him.

I guess this could be the choice Sam is now faced with. Does he listen to Dean's last wishes, save himself and carry on their work, carry on the fight or does he access these dormant powers (and all the scary, evil destiny stuff that could entail for him), get Dean back and in the process, doom himself.

Yeah, it's true, that quote, Tamm. Well, I've seen it in a few places now so I guess it is. I guess the whole martyrdom thing could go both ways. If Sam chooses to carry on fighting, to not give into his powers then I guess Dean would be the martyr but if Sam gets Dean back and loses himself in the process then he'd be martyring himself too.

And here's to the glass being half full, markie. :D

The RDFs never stop. They haven't stopped since S1. And in S2 when Sam fans started wondering by the time of CRB when we were going to start getting some insight into Sam they had the nerve to tell us to stop moaning.

Personally I wish Sam had been given what Dean's gotten. Dean's the clear hero of the show, Kripke didn't need to say that at the L.A con because it's been obvious since mid S1. He's the guy with the 'important job to do' after all. Sam's heroic journey is, as of yet, far, far more muddied.
