Tuesday, 2-17-15 Pending Tuesday's 'Finals Release' - likely tomorrow morning as Monday was a holiday and Final Ratings are always delayed The CW issued another 'Tuesday PR': CW PR Tuesday 2-17-15 ( This is based on the prelims only. Last week TF had similar, close half hour viewers and adjusted up to 1.5 while SPN had 'one hours' 1.0/0.8 averaged to 0.9 but there was close to 0.M5 dropoff in the second half. In my CW area TF overran again and I would not be surprised if the 0.9 was adjusted down to 0.8. The last time (I would have to look it up) SPN 'half hours' were 1.0 and 0.8 the show adjusted down from 0.9, too ) "via press note: THE FLASH had its most watched (3.705M) episode since 1/27 last night, and ranked #2 (tie) in the hour in A18-34 (1.2/5). THE FLASH also beat NBC in the hour in both A18-49 (1.4/4) and in total viewers. Supernatural had its most watched (2.29M) and highest rated episode in A18-34 (0.9/3) since its midseason finale on 12/9, and its highest rated episode in A18-49 (0.9/3) since 1/20. Week to week, Supernatural was up 29% in A18-34, up 13% in A18-49, and up 16% in total viewers. Supernatural ranked #3 (tie) in the hour in A18-34, and #4 in both A18-49 and total viewers. For the night (8-10pm) The CW ranked #2 in A18-34 (1.1/4) and beat NBC in both A18-49 (1.1/3) and total viewers (3M). It was The CW's highest rated Tuesday in A18-34 since 12/9/14. Versus last week, The CW's Tuesday was up 10% in A18-34 and up 6% in total viewers, and steady in A18-49. Last week, (Episode 13’s) THE FLASH rose 38% in total viewers, up to 5.05M, in Live + 3 Day viewing versus Live + Same Day alone. THE FLASH also gained 37% in A18-34 and grew 40% in A18-49. Supernatural also saw significant delayed viewing, gaining 43% in total viewers, 49% in A18-34 and 54% in A18-49." -------------------- Finals 2-17-15 The Flash1.14 4.01M, 1.5 SPN:10.14 2.09M, 0.8 I knew was too much to hope for that SPN would hold the 0.9 demo and for such a (relatively for this season) good episode. I was hoping to end the winter run “up”.------------------ SPN will not return with new episodes until March 18 after a new Arrow. The CW ranks for this week starting Feb 16, 2015 – no HoD Friday 13, 2015 (demo than viewers): 1) Flash 4.01M, 1.5 ; 2) Arrow 2.91M, 1.2; 3) SPN 2.09M, 0.8 ; 4) TVD 1.41M, 0.7; 5) TO 1.44M; 0.6; 6) JtV 1.31M,0.6; 7) The 100 1.42M, 0.5; 8) Reign 1.03M, 0.4 I have been having computer issues and plan on reformatting this weekend. As the 2/20/15 HoD ‘finals’ will not be available until Monday ~ 5 pm I will include the HoD ‘finals’ with the new Arrow/The 100 results for next week. All other CW shows are on hiatus until at soonest Monday, March 9 when TO/JtV return. ETA #1: DVR results week of Feb 16- to 22, 2015 (TF 1.14/SPN 10.14 TES) HoD (2-20) 0.4 to 0.8, 100%; TVD 0.7 to 1.3, ~86%, TO 0.6 to 1.1, ~ 83%; T100 0.5 to 0.9, 80%; SPN 0.8 to 1.4, 75%; Reign 0.4 to 0.7, 75%; TF 1.5 to 2.4, 60% ; chart ended at 57%. No JTV ( 0.6) or Arrow ( 1.2) |

CW 2015 Finale dates Arrow 5-13-15; TF 5-19-15 and SPN 5-20-15. SPN just can't catch a break - the show won't even get a crossover boost from Arrow's season finale.

Ratings 3-9 to 3-12 Ouch! DST and preemptions did a number on The CW shows that returned/had season finales this week with one show hitting series low and 3 shows tying their series lows. Next week the full lineup returns and iZombie premieres. I worry about Arrow/SPN returning next week ¡V they¡¦re against the two hour S1 finale of Fox¡¦s Empire whose ratings are about the highest for any broadcast channel this TV season. 3-9 TO 1.40M, 0.5 JtV 1.26M, 0.5 3-11 The 100 S2 Finale 1.34M, 0.4--> series low, several CW affiliates aired basketball 3-12 TVD 1.30M, 0.6 - -> ties series low Reign 0.96M, 0.4 ETA #1: DVR Results for week of March 9-March 15, 2015 This ‘week’ are results for the Spring Returns of TO/JtV/TVD/Reign and the S2 final of The 100 TO 0.5 to 1.1, 120%; TVD 0.6 to 1.2, 100%; The 100 S2 Finale 0.4 to 0.8, 100%; Reign 0.4 to 0.7, 75%; JtV 0.5 to 0.8, 60% |

Finals 3-18-15 Arrow: 2.56M, 0.9 - -> down 0.2 from last episode SPN: 10.15 M, 1.73M, 0.6 - -> down 0.2, tie series low set in S7 on Fridays Ugh! I wish The CW had aired Arrow/SPN repeats. 2 hour Empire season finale and to a lesser extent the 2 hour premiere of Survivor steamrolled over Arrow/SPN. Interestingly though all 3 top CW shows before the ‘spring break’ (TF/Arrow/SPN) returned down by 0.2. TF/Arrow can afford the drops – SPN can’t and may only marginally recover. At this point in the week SPN is in 4th place but TVD may beat SPN or tie demo (TVD got 0.6 last week) The CW ranks for this week ending 3-20-15 (demo than viewers): 1) Flash 3.69M, 1.3; 2) Arrow 2.56, 0.9; 3) iZombie 2.29M, 0.8; 4) TVD 1.59M, 0.7; 5)SPN 1.73M, 0.6 ; 6) TO 1.25M, 0.5; 7) JtV 1,10M, 0.5; 8) HoD 1.08M, 0.4; 9) Reign 1.09M, 0.3 ETA #1: DVR Results for week of 3-16 to 3-22, 2015 (includes Arrow 3.16/SPN 10.15 TTTC) TO 0.5 to 1.1, 120%; SPN 0.6 to 1.2, 100%; Arrow 0.9 to 1.6, 78%; TVD 0.7 to 1.3, 86%; Flash 1.3 to 2.3, 77%; iZombie 0.8 to 1.4, 75%; Reign 0.3 to 0.6, 100%; HoD 0.4 to 0.7, 75%; JtV 0.5 to 0.8, 60% Rats! I wish SPN had increased by ~ 120% (0.6 to 1.3), too, like TO The heavily promoted iZombie is doing no better post Flash than 10 year old SPN’s last episode post Flash. |

Finals 3-25-15 Arrow 3.17 2.86M, 1.0 SPN: 10.16 1.70M, 0.7 Slight uptick for both shows but the writing for SPN has been weak and not surprisingly shows in the lackluster ratings. There was no new TO/JtV/TVD or Reign this week The CW ranks for this week ending 3-27-15 (demo than viewers): 1) Flash 3.33M, 1.2 (this is a season/series low); 2) Arrow 2.86M, 1.0; 3) iZombie 1.99M, 0.7 - -> demo tie with SPN 4) SPN 1.70M, 0.7; 5) HoD season/series finale 1.33M, 0.4 Next week the only new CW programming is the Tuesday and Wednesday line-up. Let's hope SPN at least matches the iZombie demo again. ETA #1: DVR Results for week of 3-23 to 3-29, 2015 (includes Arrow 3.17/SPN 10.16 PIB SPN 0.7 to 1.4, 100% improvement in final demo!); TF 1.2 to 2.2, 83%; Arrow 1.0 to 1.8, 80%; HoD finale 0.4 to 0.7, 75%; iZombie 0.7 to 1.1, 57% There was no TO/JtV/TVD/Reign airing ‘this’ week |

Finals 4-1-15 Arrow 3.18 2.48M, 0.8 SPN: 10.17 1.70 M, 0.6 It could have been worse – Arrow could have adjusted up and SPN down to 0.5. Arrow tied it's season low, too. I read on TVBTN that in Seattle there was a weather related blackout and in Ohio there was an a HD CW glitch. Sigh – 10.17 was such a good episode, too. The CW ranks for this partial week ending 4-1-15 (demo than viewers): 1) Flash 3.67M, 1.3; 2) Arrow 2.48M, 0.8; 3) iZombie 1.89M, 0.7; 4) SPN 1.70M, 0.6 ETA #1: DVR Results for week of 3-30 to 4-5, 2015 (includes Arrow 3.18/SPN 10.17 IM SPN 0.6 to 1.1, 83% heavier sigh; TF 1.3 to 2.3, 77%; Arrow 0.8 to 1.4, 75%; iZ 0.7 to 1.2, 71% Again, there was no TO/JtV/TVD/Reign airing ‘this’ week |

Finals 4-15-15 Arrow 3.19 2.47M, 0.9 SPN: 10.18 1.76 M, 0.65 Yes, I’m reporting SPN to 2 decimal places this week and will until the end of the season unless there’s a legit demo tie between two or more shows. I was waiting for the TM finals. For the rest of the principle CW broadcast year I'll post the prelims and edit the post if TM demp adjusts up. TM premiere bombed as expected on Friday. The CW ranks for this week ending 4-17-15 (demo than viewers): 1) Flash 3.63M, 1.4 ; 2) Arrow 2.47M, 0.9; 3) iZombie 1.85M, 0.8; 4) SPN 1.76M. 0.65; 5) TVD 1.34M, 0.6; 6) JtV 1.03M 0.4; 7) TO 1.01M, 0.4 series low;; 8) TM Premiere 1.19M, 0.3; 9) Reign 1.01M,0.3 ETA #1: DVR Results for week of 4-13 to 4-19, 2015 (includes Arrow 3.19/SPN 10.18 TBotD SPN & TVD 0.6 to 1.2, 100%; Reign 0.3 to 0.6, 100%; Arrow 0.9 to 1.6, 78%; Flash 1.4 to 2.3, 64%; TO 0.5 to 0.8, 60%. No JtV (04), iZ (0.8) or TM premiere (0.3.) TO must have adjusted up fractionally from its 0.4 series low to 0.5 when all data sources reported as sometimes happens with SPN. Chart ended at 55% I wish SPN adjusted up over 100% for such a great episode |

Finals 4-22-15 Arrow 3.20 2.72M, 1.0 SPN: 10.19 1.63M, 0.7 Yay! SPN got a rounded 0.7 again <_< . At the moment SPN is third because iZombie received an 0.6 this week. Still have to tie or beat TVD. Live audience dropped by ~ 13K for some reason. Hope we peek up in delayed viewing as the show over 80% gains since the move. 10.19 was another great episode and it's a pity that the show has lost live viewers at a time when we've had a very solid run of episodes. The CW ranks for this week ending 4-24-15 (demo than viewers): 1) Flash 3.75M, 1.3; 2) Arrow 2.72M, 1.0; 3) SPN 1.63M. 0.7; 4) iZombie 1.80M, 0.6; 5) TVD 1.37M, 0.6; 6) TO 1.30M, 0.5; 7) JtV 1.05M 0.4; 8) Reign 0.82, 0.3; 9) TM 0.77M, 0.2 ETA #1: DVR Results for week of 4-20 to 4-26, 2015 (includes Arrow 3.20/SPN 10.19 TWR TVD 0.6 to 1.2, 100%; TO 0.5 to 0.9, 80%; JtV 0.4 to 0.7, 75%; TF 1.3 to 2.2, 69%; iZ 0.6 to 1.0; 67%; Reign 0.3 to 0.5, 67% Chart ended at 64% Regrettably no Arrow (1.0) and SPN (0.7) - I guessstimate Arrow @ 0.6 max increase, 60% and SPN @ 0.4– 0.44-ish, 57– 63%. |

Finals 4-29-15 Arrow 3.21 2.39M, 0.9 SPN: 10.20 1.74M, 0.7 Better rating than the SPN episode deserved but I'm glad that the ratings are at least stable. The CW ranks for this week ending 5-1-15 (demo than viewers): 1) Flash 3.93M, 1.5; 2) Arrow 2.39M, 0.9; 3) SPN 1.74M, 0.7 ; 4) iZombie 1.69M, 0.7; 5) TVD 1.21M, 0.5 - -> series low; 6) TO 1.20M, 0.5; 7) JtV 1.06M 0.4; 8) Reign 0.84M, 0.3 9) TM <1.0M 0.2 (not final, but demo is unlikely to adjust up and viewer total is less than 1M) ETA #1: DVR Results for week of 4-24 to 5-3-15, 2015 (includes Arrow 3.21/SPN 10.20 AH TVD –0.5 to 1.0, 100% ; Reign – 0.3 to 0.6, 100% ; TO - 0.5 to 0.9, 80%; JtV – 0.4 to 0.7, 75%; Flash – 1.5 to 2.4, 60% Chart ended at 59% No Arrow (0.9), SPN (0.7 – the episode sucked and I doubt increased more than 0.4) and IZ (0.7) This is the second “L+7” week in a row Arrow hasn’t made the chart with original demo far lower than The Flash; I’m reading a lot a grumbling about how weak this season has been overall and most particularly the latest ‘arc’. |

Finals 5-6-15 Arrow 3.22 2.54M, 1.0 SPN: 10.21 1.45M, 0.6 --> series low viewers ouch! SPN's viewers. So far SPN is tied with iZombie for 'third' place demo at 0.6 with iZombie beating SPN in viewers (SPN/iZombie tied last week at 0.7 with SPN having the higher viewer total.) (Ultra rigorously SPN is actually in third place by two decimal places demo reporting provided by spottedratings.com - SPN 0.65/iZ 0.61/ TVD 0.57) The CW ranks for this week ending 5-8-15 (demo than viewers): 1) Flash 3.62M, 1.4; 2) Arrow 2.54M, 1.0; 3) iZombie 1.62M, 0.6; 6 4) SPN 1.45M, 0.6 ; 5) TVD 1.32M, 0.6; 6) TO 1.14M, 0.5; 7) JtV 1.05M 0.5; 8) Reign 0.97M, 03.; 9) TM <1.0 0.2 Next week’s Arrow finale/SPN 10.22 will be preempted in Chicago for baseball ETA #1: DVR Results for week of 5-4- to 5-10, 2015 (includes Arrow 3.22/SPN 10.21 DD TVD 0.6 to 1.2, 100%; Reign 0,3 to 0.6,100%; iZ 0.6 to 1.1, 83%; TO 0.5 to 0.9, 80%; Arrow 1.0 to1.7, 70%; SPN 0.6 to 1.0, 67%. These data are from Chart 2 (Largest A18-49 Percentage increase…) – this is typically the only ‘Chart’ CW shows ‘make’ (or not) Chart ended at 62%. TF made Chart 1 (Largest 18-49 Ratings Increase … @ 60%) and Chart 3 (Largest viewer increase @ 61%). CW shows rarely make either Charts 1 or 3; TF usually makes all 3 and TVD sometimes made either/or Charts 1 and 3 back when it was getting higher everything. |

IZombie renewed for S2 No surprise. CW 2015 Series pickups I’ve never heard of ‘Crazy Ex Girlfriend’ nor had other TVBTN posters; apparently it was a half hour comedy pilot developed for Showtime; they passed on the show so CBS stuck The CW with it, just as CBS did with the failed Ringer. It has been expanded the show to an hour and supposedly will debut no sooner than midseason along with the ‘Flarrow’ spinoff Legends of Tomorrow. In another link which I won’t bother posting, The CW reports that Hart of Dixie and The Messengers have been cancelled. (The rest of TM episodes will be probably air). Also the low rated the ‘Cedric show’ – not bothering with the correct name – has been removed from The CW schedule and will be replaced by back to back eps of WLIIA. Next week sometime the networks will post their Fall schedules; I have no idea where SPN will go and there's a good chance it will be moved again at midseason. |

I knew was too much to hope for that SPN would hold the 0.9 demo and for such a (relatively for this season) good episode. I was hoping to end the winter run “up”.

SPN just can't catch a break - the show won't even get a crossover boost from Arrow's season finale.
I wish SPN adjusted up over 100% for such a great episode
