Again, no official CW L+3 data reported but TVBTN did make a note that although it didn't make the top 25 in L+3, Black Lightning did impressively well, gaining 0.5 to make BL's L+3, 1.1 (0.6+0.5).

Both Arrow and SPN made Chart 4 Viewer % gain at 69% and 57%, respectively. 13.10 didn't make Chart 'last week'

CW orders 6 more pilots

and

CW 2018 pilot orders to date

The Original's "Hope -centric' potential pilot is not on this list - but maybe The CW is awaiting audience reaction to post time jump 'Teen Hope' who is going to played by a new actress. However, these 6 make 9 CW pilot orders, the most The CW has ever.

Note 2: Next Thursday (SPN 13.13/Arrow 6.13) The CW will go against the Olympics opening ceremony on NBC. ABC/Fox are airing their normal content but CBS is airing a Big Brother Special at 8 pm followed by TBBT/YS repeats at 9 pm. CW ratings may be more impacted than usual.

The CW released all 'this week's' L+3's:

The CW is increasing its programming to include Sunday 8-10 pm.

Many tv sites are reporting the news; I think could be one the reasons for 'no super early mass renewals' this year. And that The CW is looking at a record 9/10 new pilots. They probably made a stab at shuffling the new fall 2018 deck first to include Sundays.

CW takes back Sunday PrimetimeCW takes back Sundays

The CW Reclaims Sunday, Will Expand Its Schedule To 6 Nights In Fall 2018

by Nellie Andreeva
February 14, 2018

That record of 9 pilots ordered by the CW this year starts to make a lot of sense.

Nine years after the CW network reduced the nights it programs, returning Sunday to its affiliates, the network is taking it back. Starting next fall, the CW’s schedule again will span six nights a week, Sunday-Friday (8 PM – 10 PM) for 12 hours of programming. The network’s affiliate stations are on board with the expansion — the CW has secured the same clearances on all six nights via an agreement with its key affiliate partners, including the Sinclair Broadcast Group, Tribune Broadcasting, CBS Television Stations, and Nexstar Media Group.

“Broadcasting remains the foundation of our multi-platform approach to bringing our programming to viewers,” the CW president Mark Pedowitz said. “Over the past seven years, The CW has added more than 80 hours of original scripted programming to its schedule – now that number can continue to climb, as we grow our broadcast lineup, and continue to add content on every platform.”

The CW’s pullout from Sundays had started virtually from the 2006 launch of the network as a result of merging UPN and the WB. The final season of 7th Heaven aired on the night during the CW’s inaugural season, followed by the short-lived fall 2007 drama Life Is Wild, which became the last original homegrown CW program to air on Sunday. The CW’s experiment to outsource Sunday night to MRC for the 2008-09 season failed miserably, with the network swiftly dropping the block for a lineup of Jericho reruns and MGM library movies until giving the the night back to the stations in spring of 2009.

Over the last few years, the CW has been in expansion mode under president Mark Pedowitz, who joined in 2011, broadening out its appeal with a slate of tentpole DC series and balancing its female gender skew to a roughly 50-50 mix. The network has steadily increased the number of midseason series to 5 scripted shows this year and has been airing 3-4 reality shows during the summer.

Pedowitz said that reclaiming Sunday night for the CW had been an on-and-off conversation for the seven years he has been at the network. Finally, in discussing the subject with the CW owners, CBS and Warner Bros., last July, the sides concluded that “this might be the right time to do it,” Pedwoitz said. That was long before the first rumors started about Disney trying to acquire key assets of 21st Century Fox, including 20th Century Fox TV, leaving the future of Fox Broadcasting Co., which also programs two hours a night, in limbo.

The decision to proceed with the CW expansion was made this past December, and at the beginning of January, Chris Brooks, The CW’s EVP Network Distribution, and Ann Miyagi, SVP and General Counsel, started the effort of reaching out to the affiliates to secure clearances across the country. Such a proposition is not always an easy sell as the stations may not be willing to forgo 16 minutes an hour of ad inventory in exchange for 3.5 minutes an hour they get from the network. In this case, the response was quick and positive, with clearances wrapped up within 5-6 weeks.

“As one of the largest CW affiliate groups, we are excited to see The CW Network reaffirm its commitment to broadcasting by expanding its schedule to Sunday night,” said Chris Ripley, President and CEO of Sinclair Broadcast Group.Added, Peter Dunn, President, CBS Television Stations, “We are very pleased with the growth and success of The CW over its 12-year history and look forward to welcoming the expansion of the Network’s primetime schedule to 12 hours.”

While linear TV continues to contract, the CW is +3% year-to-year to date in total viewers and flat in adults 18-34 and adults 18-49 on TV alone, without factoring in its growing digital streaming numbers. The CW is the last remaining broadcast network with a medical age in the adults 18-49 demo (45 in linear), with its digital/on-demand viewership in their 20s and 30s on average.

The ongoing effort to go up a night of programming factored into the CW brass’ recent decision to order a record 9 pilots this season, 8 standalone ones and a planted Supernatural spinoff, Pedowitz said. That is almost double the tally of 5 pilots picked up last year.

Pedwoitz called the expansion “a win-win” for the affiliates, which are getting another night of strong programming, and for the CW owners, CBS and Warners, whose studios produce all CW series and will get additional revenue opportunities from selling more series internationally and to digital platforms.

He said it is still early to discuss what shows will go on Sunday night but indicated that the lineup will likely include established returning series with strong fan base as well as recognizable brands.

One idea — Charmed spent the second half of its original run on the WB as a Sunday anchor. One of the CW’s pilots this season is a high-profile reboot of the popular supernatural drama series.

-------------------------
Best guess is that the Charmed Reboot ('recognizable brand') is Sunday-bound along with either Supergirl (DC Show/ 'recognizable brand') or Supernatural (established show with strong fan base) . I expect The CW will look for either or both 'compatibility' (Girl Power) or audience loyalty to genre shows (both are 'supernatural'). Supernatural in particular can be moved if it's in the final season(s).

Another guess all shows but Valor (maybe) and The Originals will be renewed maybe a few for 'final seasons'. The CW may add at least 6 pilots (3 WB - Wayward Sisters is a done deal for series order - other interview write-ups had him mentioned WS by name/3 CBS)

CEG S4 to be Final Season

The End Is Nigh... If It Gets a Fourth Season

"We haven't gotten picked up for Season 4. If we're lucky enough to get a Season 4, that will be it for us. Season 4 will be our last season," said Brosh McKenna. "We're trying to kind of round out that journey. Rachel and I pitched this story in four chapters when we started working together. It was always a story about a woman's descent and her rising up. And we're excited to tell the back bit of that story."

------------------
I think it's obvious that almost everything except The Originals, likely Valor and possibly Dynasty will be renewed for new seasons. Crazy Ex Girlfriend is officially calling the end after next season. I can't see Jane the Virgin getting a S6 (for 2019/2020). Arrow's Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen) also says he's done next year (Amell has a 7 season contract) and Supernatural may end next year, too. That's one definite and three shows potentially ending next broadcast year.

ETA:
Jane The Virgin to likely end at S5

Apparently Gina R said this at at interview.

Of course, no CW show has been officially renewed yet but I think the is sign that both shows will renewed for final seasons of 4 and 5, respectively

A warning for tomorrow about tonight's SPN/Arrow preliminary ratings. Per complaints on twitter that there were many preemptions for basketball/March Madness games. SPN/Arrow won't air new eps until 3-29-18 but the other CW shows all air new eps next week. I haven't checked beyond next week yet. SPN has no rerun next week (Arrow does) but reruns 13.13 3-22 along with another Arrow rerun. Last year 12.15 aired on 3-9-17 and received the show's first 0.5.

As I expected 13.15 received the first 0.5 of this season just as 12.15 (March 9, 2017) received the show's very first 0.5.

Ratings thru March 9,2018

3-5
LoT 1.19M 0.4
iZ 0.77M 0.2

3-6
TF 2.04M 0.7
BL 1.46M 0.5

3-7
RD 1.26M 0.5
Life Sentence (LS) Series premiere 0.67M 0.2 -- > yikes, record low series premiere

3-8
SPN 13.15 1.66M 0.5 (this is why going by total viewers is unreliable - last week the show received slightly lower viewers but a rounded 0.1 better demo)
Arrow 6.15 1.28 0.4

3-9 prelim
Dyn Time/day change <1M 0.2
JtV <1M 0.2

RJK of SpottedRatings linked to PIInsider (Son of a Bronx) to provide last week's L+3's:
L+3's week ending 3-9-18

Near bottom under 'Top programs in L+3 % gains in A18-49' (most CW shows are there, a few made most charts.) More crammed, confusing format - I've rearranged it to match spottedratings.

Includes SPN/Arrow ep 15

Extracted:
SPN 0.52 to 0.84, 61.5%
Arrow 0.41 to 0.66, ~60%

ETA: L+7’s week ending Mar 11 2018

L+7's week ending Mar 11, 2018

Note new source - the same as for the original L+3's - don't know if this going to an additional source now other than TVBTN

Chart 1: TF 0.73 to 1.48, 75%

'Chart 2' on TVBTN; Chart 3 on this site:

JtV 0.22 to 0.51, 134%; iZ 0.23 to 0.51, 122%; LS 0.22 to 0.44, 100%;BL 0.48 to 0.92, 92%; RD 0.46 to 0. 88, 91%; LoT 0.40 to 0.74, 85% Arrow 0.41 to 0.75, 83%; SPN 0.52 to 0.92, 77%

SPN and Arrow increased in adult viewers 62 and 66%, respectively

Note: This poster does ‘top 40’ rather than top 25; on tvbtn, offering only top 25 data as do most rating sites, SPN – which came at #28 – wouldn’t even made the cut. So essentially using rounded data, BL, RD and SPN all rose from ‘0.5’s’to 0.9’s. Could be worse - episode '15' last year also increased '0.4' to '0.9'. Last year's episode 'Episode 14' - that also didn't make the top 25 - was a guestimate of 1.0. Ep 14 was SPN's last 1.0 of the season until the season finale. Note also that this site uses '2 significant figure (unrounded data) so there will be minor difference in % increases reported on TVBTN.

So. these two ratings/schedule pieces of 'news' happened today and guess which one got a CW Press Release? Answer - not Supernatural episode ScoobyNatural which demo - tied the S13 premiere and received nearly as many viewers. But this - which could have easily waited until next week:

CW Midseason 2018 schedule changes

The Season Premiere of THE ORIGINALS Moves to Wednesday 9PM on April 18

LIFE SENTENCE Moves to its New Night on Friday April 27 at 9PM

March 30, 2018 (Burbank, CA) The final season of THE ORIGINALS will now make its debut on a new night, Wednesday, April 18 (9:00-10:00pm ET/PT), following the "CARRIE The Musical" episode of RIVERDALE.

Following next Wednesday's original episode, The CW's new series LIFE SENTENCE will return with new episodes on its new night starting Friday April 27, (9:00-10:00pm ET/PT). Prior to its move to Friday, viewers can binge LIFE SENTENCE from the beginning on cwtv.com and The CW App.

This scheduling move impacts the previously announced season finale dates for JANE THE VIRGIN, which will now air in its regularly scheduled time period on Friday, April 20 (9:00-10:00pm ET/PT), and DYNASTY, which will now have its season finale on Friday, May 11 (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT).

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 18

8:00-9:00 PM RIVERDALE (CARRIE The Musical)

9:00-10:00 PM THE ORIGINALS (Season Premiere)

FRIDAY, APRIL 20

8:00-9:00 PM DYNASTY (New Episode)

9:00-10:00 PM JANE THE VIRGIN (Season Finale)

FRIDAY, APRIL 27

8:00-9:00 PM DYNASTY (New Episode)

9:00-10:00 PM LIFE SENTENCE (New Night)

FRIDAY, MAY 11

8:00-9:00 PM DYNASTY (Season Finale)

9:00-10:00 PM LIFE SENTENCE (New Episode)

============
Now if The CW issues a PR for 'ScoobyNatural's' success tomorrow or even later (more likely never) it's going to look like an afterthought, which is a shame considering the massive promotion this episode received.

Two Head's up.

1) I'm reading that The CW may be preempted in NYC this week (13.17) and NYC is the #1 TV market. Expected inflated preliminary ratings that will be adjusted in the final ratings.

2) I'm finally moving in less than two weeks so I might not be able to post much during the next two weeks and likely not at all until my tv/internet is turned at my new location.
