4/20/12 Finals

Nikita: Ep 2.19 1.39M (A18-49; 0.4/2)
SPN Ep 7.19 1.57M (A18-49; 0.7/2) - -> adjusted up from 0.6/2 :cool:

This week's “ranks” were (scripted only, demo then viewers): 1)TVD 2.21M, 1.0/3 (series low); 2) SPN 1.57M, 0.7/2; 3) HoD 1.37M, 0.6/1; 4) GG 1.06M, 0.6/2; 5) Ringer Finale 1.20M, 0,5/1; 6) TSC 1.14M, 0.5/1 (series low); 7) Nikita 1.39M, 0.4/2

90210 returns from its Spring hiatus tomorrow and the Canadian series LA Complex also has its series premiere tomorrow possibly for a short 6 episode run. My limited understanding is that LA Complex has been renewed in Canada for 13 more episodes but IDK whether The CW will air them (they may not have even started filming them yet).

ETA 5-8-12 DVR Results:

DVR results for week ending April 23, 2012 (includes Nikita 2.19/SPN 7.19 Of Grave Importance)

Largest 18-49 Demo Percentage Increase From DVR Viewing for Broadcast TV Shows:

4 Nikita 0.4 to 0.7 75%
6 TVD 1.0 to 1.6 60%
7 Ringer 0.5 to 0.8 60%
8 TSC 0.5 to 0.8 60%
12 SPN 0.7 to 1.1 57%

Neither GG nor HoD made the top 25 demo increases this week and both had 0.6's as initial demos. The only 0.6 for "this week" is the unscripted ANTM that received an 0.3 demo boast (50%). This chart stopped at 44% this week so GG and HoD could have had 0.2 demo increases (33%) and "tied" Ringer and TSC is "Final, final demo" and not made this chart.

SPN retains the #2 spot for “this week” even when DVR results are added

SPN Ep 7.20 1.61M (A18-49; 0.7 /2)

Yippee! :279 Another adjustment up and with that solidifies SPN position as the #2 show on the CW. This week’s “ranks” were (scripted only, demo then viewers): 1) TVD 2.20M, 1.1/3; 2) SPN 1.61M, 0.7/2; 3) 90210 1.11M, 0.6/2; ; 4) HoD 1.28M, 0.5/1; 5)TSC 1.15M, 0.5/1; 6) GG 0.99M, 0.5/1; 7) Nikita 1.29M, 0.4/1; 8) LA Complex premiere 0.63M, 0.3/1.

5/4/12 Finals

Nikita: Ep 2.21 1.22M (A18-49; 0.4/2)
SPN Ep 7.21 1.66M (A18-49; 0.7/2)

No adjustment up this week but I doubt the show will see another 0.8 this season, but thankfully The Avengers opening had no effect as seemed to on Fringe which was down to 0.9 again and stayed down.

The ranks for this week (demo, than viewers) are: 1) TVD 2.54M, 1.2/4; 2) SPN 1.66M, 0.7/2; 3) HoD 1.39M, 0.6/2; 4) 90210 1.13M, 0.6/2; 5) GG 1.02M, 0.6/2; 6) TSC 1.23M, 0.5/2; 7) Nikita 1.22M, 0.4/2; 8) LAC 0.58M, 0.3/1.

5/11/12 Finals

Nikita: Ep 2.22 1.25M (A18-49; 0.4/2)
SPN Ep 7.22 1.58M (A18-49; 0.7/2)

SPN dodged another pre-emption bullet, retaining SPN’s preliminary demo of 0.7 but losing some viewers, and again SPN is in second place for the week. The ranks this week were 1)TVD 2.53M, 1,2/4 (Season 3 finale; 2) SPN 1.58M, 0.7/2; Three way tie at 0.6/2 – 3) HoD (renewed for S2) 1.37M; 4) TSC (Series Finale) 1.28M; 5) 90210 1.15M; 6) Nikita (renewed for S3) 1.25M, 0.4/2; 7) GG (renewed for Final S6 – 11 episodes) 0.83M, 0.4/1 (series low); 8) LA Complex 0.54M, 0.2/1.

ETA DVR results 5/29/12:

DVR results for week ending May 13, 2012 (includes Nikita 2.22/SPN 7.22 TWBB):

Largest 18-49 Demo Percentage Increase From DVR Viewing for Broadcast TV Shows

15 HoD 0.6 to 0.9 50%
16 GG 0.4 to 0.6 50%
17 Nikita 0.4 to 0.6 50%
19 LAC 0.2 to 0.3 50%
24 SPN 0.7 to 1.0 42.9%

Whew! SPN just made the top 25 “this week”. The season and series finales of TVD (orig demo = 1.2) and TSC (orig demo = 0.6, tie with HoD) didn’t make he chart (chart ended at 41.7% increase this week). Also absent was 90210, also orig demo 0.6.

Next “week” the DVR results for the season finales of GG/HoD/90210/Nikita/SPN will be available.

5/18/12 Finals

Nikita: Ep 2.23 1.42M (A18-49; 0.4/2)
SPN Ep 7.23 1.56M (A18-49; 0.7/2)

Yay, SPN adjusted up in the finals (although IMO 7.23 was the “worst” finale). Ranks this week (TVD and TSC had their season/series finales last week) were (demo then viewers) 1) SPN 1.56M, 0.7/2; 2) HoD 1.60M, 0.6/2; 3) GG 1.14M, 0.6/2; 4) 90210 0.98M, 0.5/2; 5) Nikita 1.42M, 0.4/2; 6) LAC LA C 0.53M, 2/1. All regular scripted CW shows have aired their finales now except the Canadian import filler LA Complex that I will cease tracking. I will resume in the Fall while updating the DVR results for Nikita/SPN 22 & 23 as they are published.

ETA 6/4/12 DVR results for week ending May 20, 2012 (includes Nikita 2.23/SPN 7.23 SOTF ):

Largest 18-49 Demo Percentage Increase From DVR Viewing for Broadcast TV Shows

3 SPN 0.7 to 1.1 57%
8 HoD 0.6 to 0.9 50%
10 Nikita 0.4 to 0.6 50%
11 LAC 0.2 to 0.3 50%
18 90210 0.5 to 0.7 40%
19 ANTM 0.5 to 0.7 40%
24 GG 0.6 to 0.8 33%

:rah SPN performed well in the final DVR results of the season, recovering from 1.0 in the “final” finals ;) to the show’s more typical “1.1”The remainder of the normal, scripted CW line up aired their season finales “this” week.

Season 8 premiere

10/3/12 Finals
SPN Ep 8.01 1.85M (A18-49; 0.8/2)

Despite of some of us not liking the premiere much plus going up against the first Presidential Debate of 2012 (which I read doubled the "normal combined average A18-49 demo" of the other four networks), Superatural matched it's S7 ptremiere demo of 0.8 and up from the finale of 0.7 which is good. The show may perform better this Wednesday when it's led-in with the series premiere of Arrow.

On 10/2/12 Hart of Dixie premiered with 1.53M viewers, 0.7/2 down from it's series premiere of 0.8 in demo but up from it's S1 finale of 0.6. This week TVD S4 premieres and Beauty and the Beast has it's series premiere following TVD.

------------------------------
Edit#1 10-13-12 to add "Live + 3" data from tvbythenumbers:

"Live + Same Day" A81-49 demo- 0.83
"Live +3" added- 0.39 demo for a total of 1.22 A18-49
47 percent increase

The SPN premiere was the 5 gainer in 18-49 last week; Grimm was #1 and Fringe #2

Edit #2
(As a reminder unless otherwise noted I get all ratings data from tvbythenumbers.com)

Live + 7 Day DVR Results for 8.01

Largest 18-49 Demo Percentage Increase From DVR Viewing for Broadcast TV Shows (week ending October 5, includes

SPN S8 and HoD S2 premieres)

1 Grimm 1.6 L+SD to 2.8 75% increase (Friday)
2 SPN 0.8 L+SD to 1.4 75% increase!
tied Grimm for % demo increase

7 Fringe 1.0 L+SD to 1,6 60% increase (Friday)

This chart ended at 40% Demo increase

Hart of Dixie S2 premiered Oct 2, 2010 with 0.7 in A18-49 but did not make the top 25

Also, Stephen Amell (Arrow) tweeted Arrow has received a "back 9 order".

According to my records last season the highest demo SPN achieved when DVR results were added in S7 was 7.01 that ended up 1.3 in A18-49. I suspect the high L+ 7 day DVR % increase to drop as more viewers watch Arrow/SPN "Live +
Same Day"; DVR results for Arrow 1,01/SPN 8.02 will be available next Monday.

Finals 10/1012

Arrow series premiere: 1.01 4.14M, 1.3/4!
SPN: 8.02 2.51M,1.0/3!

:rah! From the prelims on TVBTN: The ARROW premiere also gave SUPERNATURAL a boost last night, it was SUPERNATURAL's most watched episode (2.6M) since 10/15/10, and was its best A18-34 rating since 3/4/11 (1.0/3)

Awesome! Not to mention I liked last night's episode quite a bit more than the premiere.

--------------------------- :)
10-13-12 Weekly ranks:

For the week ending 10/12/12 SPN was #4 out of 7 new episodes including 5 premieres. Tuesday @ 9 pm aired a non CW show and Friday 10/12 aired repeats of Arrow and B&TB. The #1 show for last week was the S4 premiere of TVD with 3.18M viewers (lower by nearly 1M Nielson viewers than the #2 show Arrow (4,14M,1.3/4 A18-49) but with an outstanding demo of 1.6/5. The series premiere of Beauty & the Beast (B&TB) had 2.78M, 1.2, and #4, SPN with 2.51M. 1.0/3 demo , which is the highest demo the show has attained since SPN was paired with the final season of SMV. Distantly trailing were #5 HOD (1.19M, 0.5/1) and the season premieres of 90210 and GG at #6 and #7, respectively, both shows with less than 1M viewers and 0.4/1 demos.

Next week The CW will air 10 original hours including the series premiere of Emily Owens,MD and the season 3 premiere of Nikita. ANTM will also air an original episode - episode 8. I am reasonably confident that SPN will rank on average no lower than # 4 thru Fall/Winter 2012.

--------------------------

ETA: L+3 DVR results for SPN 8.02 from sntv and also 'Mark Wood", poster on tvbtn:

According to the CW here is what the L+3 Day DVR was for "Tiger Mommy"

2,510,000 L+SD
652,000 +3 DAY (26 percent increase)
3,162,000 L+3 overall viewers

0.9 A18-34 L+SD
0.3 A18-34 +3 DAY (34 percent increase)
1.2 L+3 A18-34

"Mark Wood" says the L+3 data for 8.02 averaged a 32% Iincrease to about 1.0 to 1.3 ish.

I assume the the Arrow, TVD and B&TB premieres also had "L+3" data released but I must have either missed the release or the increases weren't impressive enough to warrant press releases as all three shows performed really well by The CW standards.

I bring up SPN's impressive "L+3" data because the "Live + 7 day"DVR results were posted earlier today for the Arrow and B&TB series premieres and TVD S4 premiere as well as SPN 8.02 and not one of these four successful CW shows made the top 25 list for greatest 18-49 demo increase but the low rated GG, 90210 and HoD did. 'This week's" chart ended at 41.7% 18-49 demo increase so even if SPN increased to nearer to 0.4 +/- but not rounded up to 0.5 it wouldn't have made this chart.

The CW did release this press release:

"With Live + 7 Day delayed viewing, the series premiere of ARROW on 10/10/12 averaged 5.02 million viewers, a 21% increase from its L+SD average (4.14M). ARROW saw a 33% increase in A18-34 (1.52 vs. 1.14), a 29% bump in A18-49
(1.71 vs. 1.33) and a 29% jump in W18-34 (29%)

The series premiere of Beauty And The Beast on 10/11/12 saw a 21% increase in total viewers versus its L+SD audience (3.37M vs. 2.78M), a 28% increase in A18-34 (1.36 vs. 1.08), a 25% increase in A18-49 (1.47 vs. 1.18) and a 29% jump in W18-34 (2.03 vs. 1.57).

The fourth season premiere of THE Vampire Diaries on 10/11/12 had sizable DVR gains in L+7 compared to its L+SD ratings. It picked up 30% in total viewers (4.14M vs. 3.18M), 37% in A18-34 (2.32 vs. 1.73), 34% in A18-49 (2.14 vs. 1.6)
and 34% in W18-34 (3.43 vs. 2.56)."

So none of the shows reached a 41.7% increase in A18-49 but Arrow's over 5M viewers is impressive. Teamed with Arrow, SPN is likely to get far fewer "top 25's" this season because more fans are viewing "Live + Same Day".

Finals 10/17/12

Arrow: 1.02 3.55M, 1.3/4
SPN: 8.03 2.13M,1.0/3

:278 Yippee! Again the pairing of Arrow/SPN is jumping high proving that last week's high demos were not flukes.

IMO Mark Pedowitz "did well" in scheduling the new CW shows to commence in the "second official broadcast" week of the new Fall season. Last year 4-6 new CW including the series premieres of Ringer and TSC premiered a week before the start of the official broadcast season (Nikita and SPN at the start of the broadcast season) against little to no competition from other network premieres.

In spite of high demo starts both Ringer and TSC tumbled at least 0.2 demo points in the second episodes. By starting the new CW "year" later the new shows are free of the inflated demos/viewers and The CW can get a truer idea of any shows' audience/demos, particularly the new shows' potential.

-------------------------
.
For the week ending 10/19/12 that added the premieres of Emily Owens, MD (EO) and S3 Nikita, the scripted show ranks (demo then viewers) were 1) Arrow, 3.55M, 1.3/4; 2)TVD 2.91M,1.3/4 (tie demo with Arrow); 3) SPN 2.13M,1.0/3 ; 4) B&TB 2.00M, 0.7/2 (ouch! at big demo drop); 5)HoD 1.40M, 0.6/2; 6) 90210 1.06M, 0.6/2; 7) EO Premiere 1.67M, 0.5/1 (low!); 8) GG Final Season 0.78M, 0.4/1; 9) Nikita 0.95M, 0.3/1 (Ugg!)

-----------------------
ETA DVR results (I'm late :ph43r: ) 11/8/12
DVR week ending 10/21/12

Neither Arrrow nor SPN made the top 25 this week either. GG, HoD, Nikita and TV did but 90210 and even more curiously, the EOMD premiere which had a low 0.5 in A18-49 did not.

Not as a good results for this week but the World Series aired Game 1 and that always pulls viewers away from the more skewing shows like Arrow and SPN. SPN was down further than Arrow but if any episode deserved a (relatively) low rating it was 8.04 Bitten.

Finals 10/24/12

Arrow: 1.03 3.51M, 1.1/3
SPN: 8.04 1.86M, 0.7/2

For the week ending 10/26/12 the ranks (demo then viewers) were 1) TVD 2.87M, 1.3/4, 2) Arrow 3.55M, 1.1/3; 3) SPN (yes, even the crappy episode beat B&TB) 1.86M, 0.7/2 ; 4) B&TB 1.88M, 0.6/2; 5) HoD 1.31M, 0.5/2; 6) 90210 0.91M,0.4/1; 7)GG 0.50M, 0.4/1; 8) EO 1.11M,0.3/1; 9) Nikita 0.81M, 0.2/1.

11/14/12 ETA DVR results:

DVR results week ending 10/28/12 - includes Arrow 1.03/SPN 8.04

Largest 18-49 Demo Percentage Increase From DVR Viewing for Broadcast TV Shows:

#1 Nikita 10/26 0.2 to 0.4 100% increase
then in between 90210, GG, ANTM
# 7 SPN 0.7 to 1.2 71.4% increase
then HoD 60%. TVD, B&TB 50%

Chart ended at 47.7%. No EOMD or Arrow (orig 1.1). If Arrow increased exactly the same (0.5) as SPN increased it would be at 45.4% and would not have made this chart. An increase of 0.6 (or 0.7 as TVD) would have made the chart.

Finals 10/31/12

Arrow: 1.04 3.05M, 1.0/3
SPN: 8.05 1.78M, 0.8/2

For the week ending 11/2/12 the ranks (demo then viewers) were 1) TVD 3.27M, 1.5/4, 2) Arrow 3,05M, 1.0/3; 3)SPN 1.78M.0.8/2; ; 4) B&TB 1.70M, 0.6/2; 5)HoD 1.41M, 0.6/2; 6 )Nikita 1.17M, 0.3/1; EO 1.03M, 0.3/1

Monday The CW aired reruns of 90210 and GG due to Hurricane Sandy

ETA DVR Results 11/19/12

DVR results week ending 11/4/12 includes Arrow 1.04/SPN 8.05

Oddly enough, though better received by the online fandom than 8.04, SPN 8.05 BB (original demo 0.8 aired on 10/31 Halloween) did not make the top 25 this week, (if I had to make a quick guess the "Benny-centric" episode was not a huge hit by L+7 day standards) but Arrow (orig 1.0) had a 50% increase to 1.5 in A18-49. TVD made the list increasing 40% from an already impressive by CW standards 1.5 to 2.1; low rated ANTM and Nikita made the cut, and mid rated HoD and B&TB (orig 0.6) also rose by 50% to 0.9.

This chart ended at 38% this week; if SPN 8.05 had increased to a final demo of 1.2 as 8.04 ended up that would be 50% and that would have made the chart; an 0.3 increase would be 37.5% and would be below this the cut off. Just weird that 8.04 (orig demo 0.7) and the SPN S8 premiere (also 0.8) would both have healthy, chart making increases from DVR viewing but 8.05 Blood Brothers did not.

Finals 11/712

Arrow: 1.05 3.75M, 1.3/4
SPN: 8.06 2.32M, 1.0/2

:278 WooHoo... both shows are back to way up! The CW showed the Arrow/SPN combo "A whole lotta love again":

“ARROW” STILL A STRAIGHT SHOOTER FOR THE CW

ARROW Posts Most Watched Episode Since Its Series Premiere;

Matches Season High in Adults 18-34 and 18-49

SUPERNATURAL Also Matches Season High in Adults 18-49;

Scores Second Most Watched Telecast of the Season

November 8, 2012 (Burbank, CA) – ARROW keeps on hitting the bull’s-eye for The CW. Last night was ARROW’s most watched (3.75M) episode since the series premiere on October 10, and matched its season best among adults 18-49 (1.3/4) and adults 18-34 (1.1/3) according to national Live Plus Same Day Nielsen ratings for Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012. ARROW also matched its second best performance in women 18-34 (1.1/3).

Week-to-week, ARROW was up across the board in all key demos: up 23% in total viewers, up 30% in adults 18-49, up 57% in adults 18-34, and up 38% in women 18-34.

Paired with ARROW on The CW’s dramatically improved Wednesday night, SUPERNATURAL climbed to match its season high in adults 18-49 (1.0/2) and its second most watched episode (2.3M) of the season. SUPERNATURAL was just shy of its season high in adults 18-34 (0.9/3).

SUPERNATURAL saw big gains over last week, up 30% in total viewers, 29% in adults 18-34 and 25% in adults 18-49.

Both ARROW and SUPERNATURAL continue to see dramatic increases over its Live+SD ratings once additional DVR data is factored in. On average with Live+7 day ratings, ARROW posts a 25% increase in total viewers over its overnight Live+SD ratings, and typically jumps 33% in adults 18-34 and 30% in adults 18-49. SUPERNATURAL also sees sizable gains with its Live+7 performance, improving 41% in total viewers above its Live+SD overnights, 46% in adults 18-34 and 52% in adults 18-49.

From TVBTN
--------------------
For the week ending 11/2/12 the ranks (demo then viewers) were 1) TVD 3.02M, 1.5/4; 2) Arrow 3.75M, 1.3/4; 3)SPN 2.32M, 1.0/2 ; 4) B&TB 1.84M, 0.7/2; 5) 90210 0.85M, 0.4/1; 6) Nikita 0.86M, 0.3/1; 7) GG 0.66M, 0.3/1. On Tuesday, Election Day, The CW aired reruns.

-------------------------------------

ETA 11/27/12 L+7 DVR results week ending 11/11/12 includes Arrow 1.05/SPN 8.06

Only the lowest rated CW shows (less EOMD) made "this" weeks chart - GG and Nikita, both originally 0.3, and 90210, originally 0.4.

Per the above CW press release, Arrow and SPN still did very well in "live+ SD viewing".

Finals 11/1412

Arrow: 1.06 3.83M, 1.2/3
SPN: 8.07 2.32M, 1.0/3

:rah Arrow and SPN still make a good team and provide a solid Wednesday for The CW.

The CW again gave this winning combo a "love note":
Last night's ARROW rose again in total viewers (3.8M) versus last week, giving it its second most watched episode of the season, behind only the premiere. It was even with last week in W18-34 (1.1/3), and was off slightly in A18-49 (1.2/3) and A18-34 (0.9/3).

SUPERNATURAL tied with last week as the series' second most watched episode of the season (2.3M) and rose in all key demos, matching season highs in A18-34 (1.0/3), A18-49 (1.0/3), and W18-34 (1.0/3).

In most recent L+7 Day data, ARROW gained 31% in total viewers, 39% in A18-34 and 44% in A18-49. SUPERNATURAL continues to post big increases with delayed viewing, with its most recent episode jumping 73% in A18-34, 62% in A18-49 and 43% in total viewers
-----------------------------
Four out of seven SPN episodes have been at 1.0 this year, far better than S7 even though I have far more serious issues with S8 at this point of the season than S7 at "this time last year.

ETA 1: Since The CW aired back to back ANTM episodes this Friday including the Fall finale, the weekly wrap up in "early". For the week ending 11/14/12 the ranks (demo then viewers) were 1) TVD 2.84M, 1.3/4; 2) Arrow 3.83M, 1.2/3; 3)SPN 2.32M,1.0/3; 4)HoD 1.62M, 0.6/2; 5) B&TB 1.56M, 0.6/2; 6) 90210 1.16M,0,6/2; 7) EOMD 1.38M, 0.4/1; 8) GG 0.73M. 0.4/1. There was a three way tie this week at 0.6 but B&TB slipped to 5th place this week because HoD beat it by a few thousand viewers.

ETA 2: 12/3/12 L+7 DVR results week ending 11/18/12 includes Arrow 1.06/SPN 8.07

:rah #6 Supernatural with a hefty 60% increase over the already strong 1.0 (1.0 to 1.6)

HoD, 90210 and GG also made the chart that ended at 47% "this week"

Finals 11/28/12

Arrow: 1.06 3.74M, 1.3/4
SPN: 8.08 2.00M, 0.8/2

Guess the Nielsen fans weren't that enchanted with Looney Tunes as many online polls were.

For the week ending 11/14/12 the ranks (demo then viewers) were 1) TVD 2.86M, 1.4/4; 2) Arrow 3.74M, 1.3/4; 3) SPN 2.0M, 0.8/2; 4) B&TB 1.52M,0.6/1; 5) HoD 1.39M, 0.5/1; 6) 90210 0.97M, 0.5/1; 7) Nikita 1.20M. 0.4/1; 8) GG 0.84M,0.4/1; 9) EOMD 1.05M. 0.3/1. The CW has cancelled EO after it completes its 13 episode order

ETA (1)DVR Results for week ending 11/25/12:
The only CW shows to air new eps on Monday 11/19 and Tuesday 11/20/12 Thanksgiving "week" were 90210, GG, HoD and EOMD and the first three made the chart. I'll add "Edit 2" next week when the DVR results the week ending 12/2/12 are posted.

ETA 2 December 24, 2012 DVR results for week ending December 2:

Largest 18-49 Percentage Increase From DVR Viewing for Broadcast TV Shows:

EOMD, #4 SPN :rah increasing 63% from 0.8 to 1.3, 90210, HoD, TVD, Nikita, GG - no Arrow or B&TB. A poster asked Robert Seidman(co-runner of TVBTN) how Arrow "did" and Robert responded that Arrow increased approx 31% (chart ended at 41% "this week") adding 0.4 to it's already solid 1.3. Arrow is performing very well but it's not riviling TVD; TVD is still the Crown Jewel for The CW.

Finals 12/5/12

Arrow: 1.08, 3.348M, 1.1/3
SPN: 8.09 2.058M, 0.9/3 --> Fall Finale

So in spite of some controversy SPN 8.09 was the CW's only gainer this week rising 0.1 over last week's 0.8 so :rah I guess :533 . All other CW shows either stayed same or dropped versus last week.

For the week ending 12/7/12 the ranks (demo then viewers) were 1) TVD 2.42M.1.2/3; 2) Arrow 3.34M, 1,1/3; 3) SPN 2.059M, 0.9.3; 4)HoD 1,60M, 0,5/2; 5) B&TB 1.41M, 0.5/1; 6) 90210 0.99M,0.5/1; 7) EOMD 1.41M, 0.4/1; 8) Nikita 1.19M, 0.4/1 (also Fall finale); 9) GG 0.79M. 0.3/1.

After I get the DVR results in a few weeks that's it for 2012. Several other shows have their Fall finales next week and GG has it series finale the following week.

Arrow recently got an extra episode this year (23 just as SPN) so SPN 8.10 was pushed back a week - from 1/09/13 to 1/16/13 so Arrow could air its 1.09 on 1/09 :D and then the two shows will be in sync.

ETA 12/24/12 DVR results for the week ending Dec 9. 2012 - includes Arrow 1.08/SPN 8.09

Largest 18-49 Percentage Increase From DVR Viewing for Broadcast TV Shows:

SPN still performing well in L+7 day DVR viewing, rising 56% from 0.9 to 1.4; HoD, 90210, GG and TVD also made the top 25 "this week"; No EOMD, Arrow or Nikita with chart ending at 42%

WINTER 2013 PREMIERES

Finals 1/16/13

Arrow: 1.10, 3.06M, 1.1/3
SPN: 8.10 1.99M, 0.9/2

For the week ending 1/20/13 the ranks (demo then viewers) were 1) TVD TVD 2.95M, 1.4/4; 2) Arrow 3.06M, 1,1/3;
3) SPN 1.99M, 0.9.2; 4)TCD 1.61M, 0.6/2 (Series Premiere); 5) HoD 1.37M, 0.6/2; 6) Nikta 1.27M, 0.4/1; 7) EOMD 1.02M, 0.3/1

90210 and B&TB return "this" week; last week was the premiere for The Carrie Diaries and The CW aired multiple encores including preempting the usual airings of 90210 and B&TB.

ETA DVR Results 2-4-13

Largest 18-49 Percentage Increase From DVR Viewing for Broadcast TV Shows:

(Week ending 1-20-13 including Arrow 1.10 and SPN 8.10 Torn and Frayed)

HoD, Nikita, Arrow (1.1 to 1.6 - 45% increase), SPN (0.9to 1.3 - 44% increase :rah ) and TVD were all on the list. The Carrie Diaries series premiere that encored immediately following and at least one other time (after TVD) did not make the top 25 (chart ended at 42% "this week") but that's likely due multiple encores; also EOMD didn't make it but that's "Dead Show Walking" and its scheduled to b replaced by the Cult series premiere in its timeslot on Feb 19.
