Episode 6.16 “And Then There Were None”

SAMUEL JOINS UP WITH SAM AND DEAN — Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Bobby (Jim Beaver) set out in search of The Mother of All’s latest monster. While investigating, they run into Samuel (guest star Mitch Pileggi) and Gwen (guest star Jessica Heafey), who are also hunting the creature. Samuel and Bobby get into a heated fight about how to handle the case.

This was a really good episode, although I can't believe Rufus died, I really liked him. Where he told Bobby he would never forgive him for Omaha I felt awful for Bobby, it was almost as bad as Dean telling Sam he couldn't trust him in season 5.
The Eve mother of all thing is good, very creepy, it was like all the shifter episoded where you don't know who's who. I was convinced it was going to be in Rufus actually, since he seemed to be the one with the least storyline, but then he was the only one it wasn't in, so...
I loved where Dean went and stood in front of Sam, shielding him from Samuel. Seems like a long time since we've had Dean defending Sam SO openly and I like it, it was really, you break the wall down you go through me first. Epicness!
But I didn't like what they did to Bobby at the end. i realise they're hunters and have to be ruthless and everything, but that was beyond that I think, hurting Bobby like that, I was convinced he was going to die. It just seemed really wrong and when Sam turned away I guess he realised that. It works for me that Dean is the more ruthless one again, though, it's how I've always seen them.
Burn for Samuel-that was very well done that part, though. Sam getting really panicky telling him to back off and then shooting him almost it looked by accident, very last resort kind of thing, and where Sam and Dean were talking over Samuel's body I felt really bad for Sam...
it was a way more serious episode, with so many characters dying, but I guess you needed that after the previous one!
Also-Dean and herpes? ?????????? i'm guessing he was messing but still, it was kinda weird...at least i hope he was messing...

I voted pretty good for the main reason that killing Samuel without any kind of explanation just didn't sit well with me. It left this whole sl just dangling, kind of like the PK's ... and it didn't settle well.

I don't, however, think Dean was being mean or ruthless with Bobby. Sam and Dean both agreed that no SN being was holding any of them hostage. But even Dean turned away toward the end. So I don't think he was mean or nasty or anything. Just doing what any of them would want done.

oh no i agree, i think Dean did what had to be done. And when I say i didn't like it i mean i didn't like it as oh no, it's awful they have to be so harsh to survive. As I guess you're meant to feel. Same as putting Sam in the panic room or something. That's all.
