Episode 9.23 Do you believe in miracles?

THE SHOCKING SEASON FINALE — Dean (Jensen Ackles) feels the effects of the First Blade, and Metatron (guest star Curtis Armstrong) makes his move against humanity. Meanwhile, Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean and Castiel (Misha Collins) face shocking consequences when taking the fight to Metatron (guest star Curtis Armstrong).

Thomas J. Wright directed the episode written by Jeremy Carver (#923)

This is it - the end of a season that has been a huge disappointment for Sam Fans :lesigh:

Will Carver give us just a few teases of great bro moments before he snatches them away again :533 ?

There was a series of interviews released within the last few days and glowing words freely flowed from the all the actors' mouths... 'very emotional', 'shocking twists', 'best finale in years'

Are the actors trying to hard sell us of what both (J2)have described as being disappointed with how far apart they were pushed this season, how (annoying) hard it was, how disappointed some of us are with how both characters have been written ... or by some "Miracle" ;) Carver actually delivers?

Please rate and discuss :)

Oh you have got to be kidding me! They are seriously taking the trials Sam getting sicker and sicker storyline and giving it to the Dean first blade storyline?! Geez! Just how low can they sink? :banghead

Dumb, predictable and the ending! :banghead We saw that coming a mile away!

Sorry boys but that did not shock me or make me excited for next season. All it did was make me want to find something different to watch.

I'm done with this show. I love the J's but I just can't take anymore. Not only did they pretty much copy the Sam and the trials ending but it means the brotherly bond will be missing next season too. And if we thought the fallout from Gadreel was bad for Sam, just wait. This will be much worse.

Disappointing would be an understatement. There were no real surprises as we all could see how this was going to play-out, especially with the signposted last 1 second shot at the end. Carver must think us stupid not to see how last seasons storyline for Sam was literally replicated (very badly in my opinion) for Dean. Unfortunately the outcome just doesn't have the same emotional impact that I felt for S8. Maybe because Dean being a dick has become old hat, especially when it comes to Sam, so much so I have become disinterested in Dean as a character. His self-worth issues are ridiculous in a man his age and as the show seems intent on seeing everything through his POV it has just become so tiring to watch.

So season 10 I guess we will have Crowley buddying up with Dean and Sam buddying with that limp noodle, backstabbing (bitter to remember that he let Sam out to go to Ruby, left his soul behind in the cage with Luci and then took the wall down of his memories in Hell and was never really bought to account for his actions) Castiel.

So much for Carver bringing the show back to what it should be about - two brothers with their unbreakable bond on a road trip through life. If he was going to be true to his word he would have ejected the flotsam ie Castiel, those stupid boring angels, and yes even Crowley. I remember when Demons :fire were truly terrifyingly evil but are now just comedic or moronic characters and the Angels, whose presence seemed so awesomely inhuman, are now mediocre office clerks in an administration block!

I want the show to scare me again, to be afraid for the Winchester brothers safety and see how they react together to whatever monsters, humans, unsanitary motel rooms throw at them. Wishful thinking I know.... but being a shallow human being I will still keep watching for the Pretty!
