"Activate forward lights now" said the muscular grey Selkath. A rarity of his species, Mike Que-Kara's skin was a shade of grey instead of the commonly blue and green variants of Selkath. This made him stand out from the crowd, which wasn't always a bad thing. The forward lights from the JV-7 Delta-class Escort Shuttle lit up, illuminating the dark shape in front of them. It was the Eternal Harmony, a religious outpost. The first of many, Mike hoped. It was a gutted Luxury Space Colony. The innards replaced with places of Worship, status of the Progenitor, and the greatest attraction of all, certain areas were recreations of Manaan. Right now, however the station was set to be in a dormant mode. The water frozen and all power shut off. The reactor running on minimal power. No use running a station no-one is occupying was the rationale behind this. As soon as the work crews had finished, the station was abandoned. "We'll have alot of work to do..." Mike said to himself. The station did have a droid crew however, on top of the crew of 10 or so Selkath he brought with him. The station was having a religion conference with dignitaries from other religions visiting, as well as Mike's friends and fellow believers. "Dock now." Mike instructed the ship. This JV-7 Delta-class shuttle, or as it was better known as "The Progenitor" had gotten a recent upgrade. An artificial intelligence system. The AI itself, which Mike had fondly named Raiden, was based off the brain of the terminally ill Seb Mindar. This AI was controlling the ship, allowing Mike to use voice commands. "Bring us in to the docking port. I'll ready the crew" said Mike as he left the bridge. "Greetings, my Selkath brothers. Cooks, cleaners, butlers, all of you have different jobs for our stay here. I know our numbers are small, there are only 10 of you, but you have droids to assist you in your tasks. You have all been given outlines and station layouts. I trust it to you to go where you need to go and get done what you need to get done. With that, thank you and may She guide you to calm waters." After that long winded little speech, Mike felt the Delta shuttle touch down. A bit of jarring and shaking accompanied it. "Damn, this ship needs some repairs." he mumbled. Moving to the back of the ship, Mike hit the switch for the ramp to lower. Grabbing the AI storage facility, he also removed Raiden. Stepping out of the ship was not the best idea, the hanger was pitch black, with the stale air and cold metal piercing his every sense. However underneath, his black cloak he wore a full set of Snowtrooper amour. Activating the shoulder light, he pointed his beam in various directions. "Over there is where the ships come in... empty room.. empty room.. Aha! There it is!" he said aloud as he found the steel blastdoors into the station. The specialized prototype reactor was a marvel to behold, but a necessity for the power output this station would create. Powered on ion energy and hydrogen gas, its output was similar to that of a small star. Right now, however, it was shut off. The only thing keeping the air from escaping the station, was the minor life support systems, and those were being run off of a small battery system that the reactor charges when it is online. In deep space, there are no stars close enough to make solar panels feasible. At the blastdoor, Mike inserted Raiden into the system. "Raiden, using the axillary power open this door. Do not activate the reactor yet.." The blastdoor in front of him opened immediately, and the small holoprojection of a Firaxa shark (Raiden's preferred avatar) "Master Que-Kara, there is only enough oxygen in these rooms to last around 10 minutes. Lets get the reactors on soon.." These words fell to deaf ears however, as Mike stepped into the main concourse. Shining his flashlight around the room, it was stunning. A giant marble statue of the Progenitor was hanging above a giant tank full of aquatic life. Though the water was frozen, as well as the aquatic life (to preserve them when the station is not in use), one could only be begin to imagine the scope and depth that the rest of the station had to offer. As the light bounced through the crystals, showing seaweed, Firaxa sharks, and even some Kolto bubbles, Mike noticed it was increasingly hard to breathe. "Raiden? Oxygen levels?" Mike asked "Low sir, you are wasting all the reserves, no oxygen is produced by the aux systems." "Turn on the reactor now..." There was no verbal response, just a jolting sensation and a burst of heat. "By the Progenitor, it works from an initial combustion reaction and uses heat to power it..." After about 2 minutes, the jolting and heat stopped. Replaced with the sensation of fresh oxygen coming through the vents. Soon after the power grid was online. Doors and lights across the station lit up in a flash. Then a quick shot of heat, and the various tanks across the station were unfrozen. In front of Mike, lay 100's of small creatures waking up from their hibernation and looking around their habitat. Mike noticed from the various lifts and signage that had lit up, the different sections of the station. A normal LSC had 4 sections as well as the middle, so this station did as well. The lower left quadrant was Mechanical Bay and inner workings. The upper left quadrant was where the main house of worship is. The lower right quadrant was where the dignitaries stay, and upper right was where the Kitchen, as well as Mike and his guests living quarters were. The centre of the station had 3 sections, the top was the reactor, the middle was the concourse, and the bottom was the hangers. Feeling confident with the layout now, Mike sent for his crew to get to work as well as the droids to be activated. "Get the station in tip top shape, Raiden. Have everyone doing some work" Mike said as he headed to Lift R2. This lift headed to his quadrant. Stepping into the lift, he noticed it had a view to the outside starfield. "Very tranquil.." he thought as he arrived. The quadrant was like a hotel hallway, to the left was a small chapel and aquarium area, directly ahead was his quaters and down to the right were the luxurious (albeit smaller than his), rooms for his friends. Entering his room he noticed a few things, the rear wall was nothing but a view into the Starfield. A wall divided his room in two. To his right was his bedroom and bathroom area, and to his left was his living quarters with a small kitchen/mini bar package and a holoprojector. Entering his bedroom area, Mike noticed they created a Stasis tube for his armour like he asked. This kept it fresh and clean while not in use, and was great for display. Removing his armour, he placed it in the tube, and then just wore his robe. " It was going to be an uneventful few days, I dont need to wear it under my robe..." Stepping into the holoprojector area he sat down on the couch and turned on the Galactic News Service, right as a story about the galactic economic crisis came up, a blue flare appeared out of Hyperspace. Judging by the general shape and positioning of the lights it was a DP-20b. The Black Canary to be exact, the ship Naast said he'd be showing up. "Better make my way to the docking tubes" Mike thought as he headed downstairs. |

"Of course, you know she's in good hands Dac, I'd never let anything happen to the Canary!" Naast said with a grin. "That's what you said about the Pride, and she's frozen inside a glacier! I'm not even sure how the hell you did that!" Dac grumbled "Just remember, it's not your ship this time..." "I will, don't worry Dac, it's just a religious meeting, what's the worst that could happen?" Naast reassured his friend. "Alright, well you have fun with that... Dac out." He says as the holoprojector shuts off. As Naast stands up, laying the projector down on his seat, he takes a look around. The Gold plated durasteel bridge was quite a sight to see. As the mostly female crew walked about, their heels made a wonderful sound against the metal floors. The colors from work stations and terminals reflected brilliantly on the gold wall panels, and hand rails. "Sir." A Man's voice says, disturbing Naast's mental ramble. "We're about to exit hyperspace, please be seated." "I can stand if I want to kid." Naast growled as he turned to the young helmsmen who has spoken. As Naast straightens his stance, which isn't easy with his power armor, which is easily hidden under his black cloak, although the helmet laying next to his seat is a give-away. The lights throughout the ship go from bright white, to dim red as the Communications officer updates the crew via overhead speakers. As everyone rushes for their seats, leaving some crewmen without, Naast stands firmly keeping his cold stare forward towards the view-port. A blue flash, one that is almost blinding, rushes out from the front of the ship as it exits hyperspace, coming uncomfortably close to the station. Looking around Naast realizes a few of his crewmen are laying on their faces. "Get a medic up here. Pilot, dock with the station, and don't come out so close next time..." he says as he grabs his helmet and makes his way to the lift. |

Traveling in sublight on a small freighter, Cyern Mora watched in the distance how the once dark space station started to lighten up showing some activity. "Sure Mike is working on bringing the outpost back to life..." Not too fond of flying, the frigate were driven by a droid, a FA-4 pilot, not too brilliant at improvising, but it sure followed orders quiet and neatly. Breaking the cockpit silence with a metalic and monotonous voice, the droid gave the expected notification: "Communication with the station protocol has been stablished, all systems and life support program in there has just been activated. Docking port assigned, calculating aproaching vector..." "Yeah, the religious outpost started working." As SA Selkon, Cyern were invited to the first meeting on a space station created by Mike´s engineers themselves. Hope the first of many. Lot of work has been done to reach this point, Cyern still remembered when wandering the galaxy with no place to go until Mike Que-Kara gave him a helping hand in Selkath Association. Now the hardwork has given its fruits..." Again, the droid interrupted Cyern cavilations. "Sir, a ship is coming out from hyper, seem to be spawning too close to the station" Cyern had a feeling about it. "How big is the incoming ship?" "Big." "Must be Naast, he has a special talent to always make..." A blast ripped through space and shaked the freighter, suddenly giving space to a flagrante black Gunship just in front of the station. "... quite an entry." |

"Master Naast, I do believe you are forgetting something." Ad approaching protocol droid says as he tries to catch up with his owner. "Ah, of course." Naast says stopping right infront of the docking port. "You and Sho get the gravity sleds and bring my luggage." "Yes master.." The droid says as he walks off Naast puts his helmet on, listening to the sound of the seal and the helmet filling with air. Taking a deep breath before he opened the blast door and made his way into the station. "Oxygen levels are low, temperature 17C. Humidity 3%, Artificial gravity activated. Commands?" The computer in Naast's helmet crackles. "Maintain seal, adjust temperature inside suit to 14.5C." Naast says as he steps forward, his boots making a metallic clank as his feet touch the floor. "Adjusting..... Adjustment complete." The voice crackles from the helmet once again. "Activating dormant systems now." "Mike, can you hear me? I'm in the station now." Naast says as he holds the side of his helmet to activate the comlink. |

It had been a long time, far too long in Kanti's opinion, since she had seen her old KS friends and mentors. Mec had been treating her nice, real nice. It was no wonder with Dac at the head. as one of his longest employees she pretty much do what ever she wanted when it came to jobs. But she was still doing what she had always been doing moving stuff around. Granted not she was moving much larger and more expensive things but it was still the same thing. She had been asked if she wanted to do somethign else but she declined, flying was all she really ever wanted to do. Just the thought of being stuck at a desk with paper work to do made her shiver. No way an Okam would stand for that. They could sit still even if they were chained down. Standing still was very impossible when she got a holo from Mike and Naast inviting her to come in for their religious conference. After she turned of the feed she started to jump around in excitement with K9 tittering and spinning with her. Now religion wasn't something Kanti tried to get herself mixed up in. It didn't do her any good when she was trying make a deal, or just be on the same ship with someone who was a fanatic or something. But when it came down to it if asked she would say she followed the ways of the Great Prog. Even if it was cause she would have dreams about being eaten when ever she didn't say it. But the real reason why she was going was because she wanted to see the old crowd again. She missed them so much... So she asked for a short leave of duty from Dac which she got, and packed up her YT Jack Frost and set off for the cords. She had gotten Kappa to come with her, after all it was her brother who they were going to see. Kanti of course got to drive, and slept through most of the jump. It was nice being back in her YT again although in reality it was a little too new. She still had to wear it in a lot more before it would be at it's best. That wouldn't be a problem... A small siren started to go off as a warning that they would be exiting hyper in 10 minutes. Kanti groaned and pulled her pillow over her ears. After a minute when it still hadn't stopped she let out a tired whine, "Kappaaaa.... turn off the s-oohf!" She didn't get a chance to finish her sentance because a rather hard pillow had been whacked on her stomach. "Stop being a lazy ass, you're the fearless captain this time..." Kappa said, her red eyes glaring slightly at the Kuati. Kanti groaned but she knew that the older woman had a point so she rolled out of her bunk. She grabbed onto the edge as she fell so she could control her self and landed on her feet with no problem. She might be flying alot but there was a lot of free time and a lot of space on an empty MSH to practice what ever you wanted. The first thing she did was turn off the damned beeping that was echoing throughout the ship. Once that was done she popped into the fresher then put on her clothes. Like normal she went for a pair of cargo pants with a dark T-shirt then her Mecrosa/KS jacket with the patched on either side. She was done with a few minutes left and she went into the cockpit followed closely by Kappa. She took the pilot seat started a check on the systems. She braced for the end of the jump but she managed to only budge a little. Instantly her scanners alerted her to the other ships in the very close area. She looked out and she recognized the Black Canary right away and she knew exactly who it was. The Kuati made a point to so a barrel roll in front of the gunship's bridge in hopes of catching the eye for her old mentor. After a few more moves that got the excitement out of her system. She then turned toward the station and opened up a comm link. "Kanti Okam, ready to dock. Open up for me Mike!" She said, yelling the last bit. She set the Jack Frost on auto pilot as she saw the doors open and quickly got up to get her bio suit out from one of the many compartments. She handed one to kappa as well. Before putting it on she sat down and landed the YT safely. "Jack Frost, Docked." said into the comm then stood up taking her bio suit with her. She opened uo her ramp and practically jumped out int the station. With Kappa right behind her she practically ran to the docking bay doors. |

Heading out into the hallway, Mike noticed that the cleaning droids were vacuuming and could smell the Ahto Ale being broken open in the kitchens below. Entering the lift, and starting out into the Starfield, the grey Selkath noticed two new ships heading towards the station. "I want an ID and scan. On the double Raiden..." Mike said aloud. "Already ahead of you sir. One is the YT-2000 Jack Frost carrying 3 figures. 2 humanoids and one droid." "Must, be Kanti and Kappa... and the other?" "Its a small freighter, judging by the video feed I intercepted it is your comrade Cyern. His ship was nearly torn up by your other friend Naast... Oh speak of the Devil. Naast has just boarded the station..." Coming through Mike's personal earpeice was the voice of his Chiss friend. "Mike can you hear me? Im in the station now" "Im reading you loud and clear Naast." Mike replied into the earpeice. With a "Ding" sound echoing throughout the main hall, the lift reached its destination and the doors opened. "Ah, one more thing Sir..." said Raiden. However he was cut off the thud of a ship landing and the running of an overly excited female, coming up behind Naast. ".. your other friend is here." Walking up to the pair, Mike certainly hoped Naast didn't have any X-Ray vision. Wearing nothing but a religious cloak would not end well... |

"Three lifeforms detected." The voice echoes in Naast's helmet. "Races?" He asks. "Negative, too much interference from the station's generators, cannot obtain detailed scans." It continues "Interference?... What the hell do you mean interference? I paid good money to have you installed and you can't scan through minor interference from a power generator?!" Naast growls. "Negative. The interference is severe, reading major power fluctuation throughout the stations. An increase may be fatal." "You just tell me this now?" Naast says, his tone showing his irritation. "Levels have not shown signs of increasing, threat level seen as minimal." "I think I should just get a refund on you..." Naast grumbles as he starts walking again. "Or maybe just throw you out the air lock!" As he walks Naast hears a loud grinding sound fallowed by a series of thuds. Turning to the left he says "Activate viewscreen." fallowing his words is a low green glow of his visor as he takes cover behind a pillar. He could make out two beings, one walking towards the inner hangar door, and the other running. "Must be Kanti..." he says, recognizing the way she mis-steps with her left foot while running. As Mike's voice rings in Naast's ear he realizes the lift doors were opening. "I think I see you now Mike... That or I'll have to pay for the damages I'm about to do." he snickers over the com. |

Destiny has always reserved strange surprises for Cyern, and his life had had a lot of turns. Now working on a steady job on a far away government, he still sustained his rank in SA, and kept track of its movement. Invited to the OoP council as link and surveyor from the association, he arrived early to the station to supervice the colony instalations and fix the SA contingent arrival. It was more like a vacation trip though, Cyern was aware of Mike´s experience on this matters, surely there won´t be much to do. The space colony still felt cold, though a warm breeze just started to flow. Wearing a black t-shirt with a poisonous selkath claw printed in the front with the slogan "eat this!", Cyern felt the need to wear something a little more warmer and formal, so he wore the SA standard uniform. Gave a quick glance at the scan of the LSC complex on the navigator computer, and left the docked frigate to encounter long time missed friends... |

Kanti slowed down her run as she reached the doors that lead from the hanger to the rest of the ship. She stopped for a moment and tilted her head a little feeling that something was a little out of the ordinary. she sniffed the air and rubbed her nose as the station air filled her nostrils. sure she loved space far more then land but the filtered air was different in every place and she had to get used to it still. once satisfied she began to walk again but stopped as soon as she was past the pillar her mentor was behind. She turned her head and grinned as she looked over his face, or where it would be if there wasn't a pillar there. "Long time no see," she said, wanting to run behind it and give Naast a hug. unfortunately she wasn't sure if he would appreciate it. Instead she only looked for a little longer before continuing forward to see Mike appear from behind sliding doors. "Mike!" She called out enthusiastically, waving one arm in the air to get his attention, as if saying his name wasn't enough. Once again she had to hold back the urge to run and hug the Selkath. This was a religious meeting after all, didn't want to break any crazy rules or something and mess it all up. ((Sorry it's bad, just wanted to do it before I forgot again ><)) |

"Dangit you stupid comlink! Why doesn't anything work around this ship anymore?" Varik had just picked up some droids for Mike and was slowly awaiting the coordinates of where to take them when he realized his comlink broke. He could feel a big crack on the bottom of it, must have fallen when he had earlier went into hyperspace. He walked through his small fighter to the cargo hold where all of Mike's droids were. He found the only droid that looked like it could fix anything called R4 E9. "Come with me", he said to the droid and the droid hesitantly followed him. They were walking their way to the cockpit when he heard sharp sparks flying in the distance. He went back to the main hall and he saw that the hyperdrive had overheated and apparently had started losing power a long time ago. "Oh man! don't tell me this broke too!" He went to the cockpit to get his pack of tools which he still had from when he was an engineer. As he began walking through the hall he realized that R4 E9 was still following him and he realized that he didn't have to fix all of this stuff alone. He programmed the R4 unit to go and figure out what is wrong with the hyperdrive. He took his tool kit and went back to the cockpit where the comlink was to try and fix it while R4 E9 worked on the hyperdrive. After several hours of work Varik was finally finished fixing the crack in the comlink. As soon as he got it working he checked his messages. "We are having a religious meeting? Wait a second! It was today!" ,He yelled in shock. "Why did this have to happen to me? I should probably just pray to the progenitor that I will not get in too much trouble". He went back to help the droid fix the hyperdrive with no knowing of how long he would be here. |

Relief blowing over the big blue selkath as he had finally gotten to take a breather from everything that was going on. It had been weeks since the meeting and Varik had recieved a message from Mike himself saying that they were all going to take a small vacation from all the business stuff and hang out with eachother like they used to when they were just a small group. The cold darkness of space was finally starting to where off as he was finally out of hyperspace. "Yes now my head can stop feeling dizzy!" He said, with a great happiness. Having been the only one on the ship for a week Varik was so excited to get to see everyone again. Mike had said that the meeting went well and that they would negotiate it more when he got there. Varik could barely stand to wait any longer, so he tried to withstand his drowsiness from the traveling and get enough strength to lift his wet hands and activate the thrusters. He started heading for the first thing that looked like anything other than an asteroid that he could find. He saw a big grey dot in the distance and he couldn't decide in his head whether it was a moon or a spacestation for some reason. He was so curious as to what it was, because when you have been in a ship alone and cold for a week then any sign of hope that you saw you would go for. As he got closer he started hearing a sharp buzzing sound all over and the ship started shaking, "Must be a tractor beam pulling me in. Thats definetly no moon, thats a space station." As he was close enough to see in the station he recognized the ships within. He looked on his scanner and based on the results these were Naast, Kanti/ Kappa, Cyern and Mike's ships. As Varik was finally beginning to think that life was good he got a reading on the ship and apparently all of his engines were blanked out! "What!, How!, When!, Who!?, but then he realized that he had no time to waste. His ship was heading for the inside of a space station and he couldn't stop it when it was inside! He ran to look for any tipe of space suits. "Well this just hasn't been my trip has it?" |
