lets get the roster ready the war is at 3:00 [9:00 in the UK]

After a long discussion with Viewtvision in chat today, it became clear that Viewtvision was struggling to find time to keep the site up. Our clan was on the verge of closure.

However, I am happy to announce that after offering my services and time, the clan will in fact remain. The difference is that I will be handling most day 2 day activities. As a result, I have proposed some major changes for the future:

-) Move to a full invision forum version
-) Move to fully paid independent hosting
-) Develop scripts to handle some aspects of administration such as time trail submissions etc.
-) More management roles for existing clan members to handle the large load presently placed on the owners. (Promotions to come!)
-) Most importantly :- Listen to suggestions from you guys to help make this clan better!

There have been a lot of hard times for me going on these past few months. The most recent unfortunate event that has occurred was a devastating tornado which struck down in Northern Wisconsin. This tornado destroyed several houses and agriculture fields. My aunt and uncle's house was completely destroyed and they lost virtually everything they owned except a few pictures and some clothing garments. I grieve most for my little 9 year old cousin though...

I love my little 9 year old cousin to death. I see him a lot and he's a ton of fun to play videogames with. His name's Matthew. He lost everything he loved including his most favorite activity, videogames. He owned a Wii, DS, and 360. His birthday is this June 4 and his parents probably wont be getting him anything because they still need to find some space to rent so they can live somewhere, and they don't have too much money. Matthew is as bored as •••• and he's extremely sad and devastated because he basically has nothing. Virtually nothing besides some clothes.

I, however want to make my little cousin Matthew happy and put a smile back onto his face. He's having a hard time with his parents and remember this guy has virtually nothing besides some clothes. I have found a way to obtain a free Wii and an xbox 360 for him. However, this isn't as simple as it sounds. There are certain things that I in particular need to do. I need YOUR help in order to get one of these two systems for my cousin.

After the long wait I've finally gotten around to putting up a Time Trials & Leaderboard section to our site. Right now it's pretty empty, but once I start getting ghost data I will immediately post results! The leaderboard will be put up next Sunday.

We've created an official GameBattles Account! This will allow us to organize our win/loss records, be able to have orderly clan wars and matches, see how our clan is progressing, etc... :lol:

With the end of May rapidly approaching, my time is being consumed almost too fast. This is causing me to stay off the computer for most of the day which also means that I am also not on the website as often as I should be. I also have not been able to go on MKWII as much as I would have liked to (I finally got star ranks in all CCs except Mirror which I'm working on). Anyways I'm just notifying everybody that this clan is not dying, I intend to keep it alive as long as I can and only good things are to come. Once school is out I will have tons of time to bring new things to the clan.

Our YouTube video upload has been delayed until a later date. All editing must be done at Ben's house by me. (Ben can't edit videos well with my software) I was about 3/4 finished with editing the video and adding titles, text, stats, etc... and I had to leave his house. I also had an orientation for my summer job, and I have loads of homework and housework to do everyday (in other words I have a life).

The video will be separated into three parts, one for each round due to YouTube's time and data limit. The videos will be uploaded by the end of this week.

Our awards/promotion system has been put into effect. You are able to receive various awards and promotions. We will not tell you all of the awards or how to earn them. That is for you to find out.

Several Awards have been handed out already. Check to see if you have any. If not, just be active and do different things with the clan and you'll start seeing your showcase fill with awards and promotions!

We're glad to announce Jaap as the very first winner of our very first SG tournament.

I would just like to notify all members that are participating in the SG Classic Tournament I to be there ON TIME! Viewtivision is hosting the room and you will all have to join the room. If you are not there within 10 minutes, you will not be accepted into the tournament or be able to join later. You must all also make sure you have Viewtivision registered as a friend.

We will be creating a Time Trials and Leader Boards section on May 4. In order to submit your records, you will have to send your ghost data to Viewtivision only. The times will be posted and updated every Sunday and the leader board will be updated every Sunday. You WILL NOT be able to post your records on the site because it gives no proof. Viewtivision will have to physically watch you by watching your ghost data.

I'd just like to state that testing is now required for new users to join the ShadowGear clan. Just registering on the ShadowGear website does not make that user a member of our clan. They MUST be tested and have their results posted verifying if they are accepted, denied, or in need of training. The clan application system has been REMOVED to prevent spam, to keep more organization of all the members, and simply to verify if the racer we're facing is telling the truth about their age and maturity.

Yes, finally, Mario Kart Wii is out in Japan, Europe, Australia, and let us not forget about North America! This means that Mario Kart for Wii has been released worldwide now and is available to all regions! This also means that our American members can now share their friend codes, and the real races will begin!

You're probably wondering about myself and Ben10. We both got Mario Kart for Wii and are loving it to the 100th power! Together we both completed all of 50CC with star ranks and have almost completed 100CC (not all star ranks...). We've unlocked several characters including Rosalina, Bowser Jr, Dry Bones, Funky Kong, Diddy Kong, and King Boo. We only unlocked about two karts including Super Blooper, the piranha kart, and some tiny monster truck that I can't remember the name for. We got one bike which I think is called Zip Zip or something.

So Ben and I do have our work cut out for us, but we're adapting extremely well to the game. I myself have already gotten a golden wii wheel icon, but boy oh boy is the Classic Controller SO much easier to use. However, I'm sticking with wii wheel because it makes the game more challenging, and it simply adds more fun to the game. As for our friend codes, they are posted below...
