Hi Hev,
I had a visit last week from a lady form the family fund, she was really helpful. Yes she will want to see all your income papers, if you have a tax credit award she may just look at that. I don't know how long it takes before I hear from them to see if they will allow us anything. I asked for a trampoline for Josh and a holiday, even though I have just been on a football holiday for Josh, what a nightmare, i've come back with a chest infection having to stand in a cold field all week and living in a shed (they had the cheek to call it a chalet) and to top it off Josh got angry one night and put his hand through the window so please Family Fund send me another hoilday to help me recover from this one.

Yes Hev, Jo is right they just need to make sure you don't earn over the limit. Make sure you get across to her the impact Steve has on the rest of the family. Hope you get what you ask for xx

Good for you Hev. It will do you good to have a break anyway, and great for you to have some one to one time with your tot.

We had to send in all our documents. They asked for P45's, and Child Tax Creidt award info. They shouldn't need to see anything else, as that should tell them everything they need to know about your income. They may ask to see your DLA award.

Good luck. I'm sure they won't have a problem seeing how much you need this. God knows you deserve it honey.

Now i have my DLA (which i now realise i didnt need for ff in the first place lol) i am making a big long list of all the things i want (oops need lol), josh def needs new bedding, and some sensory toys, and some climbing stuff for the garden and a trampoline, and a nintendo ds to help with coordination lol. Then there is the family holiday that we could definately do with........ washing machines dishwashers.

Am i being greedy now????? the only downside is the online app is down at the moment.

Watch this space....

you can apply online for one child in a family if applying for more than one child in a family then you have to email them to send you the application forms dont know if they will help with a settee no harm in asking tho let us know how you get on deb

You can apply online if you have made a previous application, but forst applications must be done by requesting a form from them. Good luck. A new settee sounds like a reasonable request considering the circumstances.

I applied for this once and was told my child at the time diagnosed with adhd speech and language problems didnt qualify even though he got dla at the higher rate.My brother in law got it for years for a child less inflicked than james perhaps its just the story of my luck or lack or it baring in mind we dont have specialist help any more not that we got much before. They should see the wrecked things in my house that he has wrecked through meltdowns or clumsiness.
regards jules just venting
