Many of us suffer the symptoms of stress and one of those symptom is often IBS Irritable bowel syndrome. I have suffered with this for a few years now and I know we have other members who also suffer so I though it might be good to start a link just in case anyone wants information about it or has a question. For me my IBS seems to be under control at the moment. I avoid chocolate and extreme dairy (I never touch cream or custard or things like that and I never have full fat milk) I also have to avoid spicy food and fruit seems to be one of my biggest triggers so I have to eat it in moderation. If I am very stressed, if I've had a scare or a really bad day of it my stomach very quickly goes to pot. I get severe pain in my tummy followed by an instant need for the loo. I feel constantly bloated too which isn't nice. There are meds that can help but they can have the adverse effect sometimes. This is the link to the IBS support group IBS SUPPORT |

Thanks Mandy. Although I couldn't live without chocolate
:( I still have a lot of experimenting to do. Thought I'd start with wheat flour and see if that makes a difference since James is intolerant to it. |

That's really interesting. I don't think it related to my IBS which I think is mainly stress related, but it will certainly be helpful for James. I will look into putting him on a Cassein free diet in conjunction with the Gluten free. |
