In honour of our Sandra...Come on you lot we want your old wifes tales here, especially the ones that make babies get a move on. We all know the castor oil one don't we. Well I tried it and it didn't work. It's bloody good for constipation though, certainly made me go. ;) |

Go on Sandra, try the trampoline, I dare you!! Seriously though, rasperry leaf tea does help. As for you smileymab.....I dread to think how the dentists chair set you off and I shudder at the thought quite frankly.

You're all enjoying this aren't you
 Here's poor me fat and fed up and you're all taunting me
;) I would try the trampoline but judging by the size of me I just wouldn't bounce. As for sex, there's no chance of that, it takes me all my time to get up off the settee never mind anything more strenuous! |

Hey just to cheer you up I went 17 days over with Ben
:P Olympics did it for me, playing it anyway on the my Sega Megadrive, well I was winning!! Previous to that I had tried, Castor oil (made me puke), sex (didn't work and was uncomfortable as hell) after which I got told it isn't the sex its the Orgasm as it triggers stomach contractions, if I had known that I would have gone DIY ;), I also had the trots and sickness which didn't help, hot bath (nope), I even went for a jog!! She will come when she is good and ready. Anyway, you can't have her today because my cousin had hers so there! |

Chicken As far as having sex goes, I think you'll find that its semen that starts it off, I don't mean getting pregnant  . Synthetic prostaglandin is what they use to induce you and semen contains this naturally. Worked for me twice! I tried it as a last resort as both my girls were due to be induced and I really didn't want that, especially as I'd planned a home birth for the last one! Good luck Sandra |

I can still imigine it would be easier to stick it in a Turkey baster and go DIY! Didn't know that about being induced either (which didn't work for me, or the sex). I think once my body has let one lot in it refuses to alow any more ;) Having said that the next lot were twins. Go figure  |

When Gemma had nappy rash, many years ago now (Gosh I'm old) my granny told me to use the white of an egg to protect her skin. I laughed but after a day or two of her suffering I was ready to try anything. Granny whipped up an egg white and carefully spread the white on Gemmas bottom. It formed a waterproof skin over the rash and protected her botty from the rash. I shouldn;t have laughed, it was natural, contained no chemicals and it bloody worked. ;) |

I missed this link. It's a bit late now! The thing that set me off with Amy was being told my gransfather had died. Went into labour the same day, and had Amy 20 hours later. With James, it was pumping up a bouncy castle with a foot pump, then bouncing on it (while holding the bump of course, and only a teeny weeny bounce :P ) then a good session the same evening (yes chicken, it DOES work, hehe) Anyway, it worked for me. James was born 6 hours later! |
