Have you seen some of the rubbish that they serve up for our kids lately. I am sure that some of the programmes we had when we were kids were much better.

So how's about a quick reminder. I'll add a show and you can comment on it and add another. Lets see how many memories we can rediscover.

Ok.

I'm going to start with Mary Mongo and Midge.

Can anyone remember this? It was a cartoon about a girl that lived in a block of flats and she had a dog and a mouse that sat on the dogs nose. I remember it because they went up and down in a lift and it was the mouse's job to press the button.

Sad I know

Not sad at all. Now this is a subject that I can really warm too! Oh, maybe I'm just sad as well.
Mary, Mungo and Midge!
Its the lift bit I remember too. Midge sat on Mungos nose to press the button, yes! clap-ping clap-ping

What about Crystal Tipps and Alistair? A girl and her dog (I think) and I seem to remember her catching butterflies. Anyone??

Ooh I'm feeling all nostalgic!. I loved Hectors House.

Does anyone remember The Wooden Tops? now I'm going back. Or what about Issy No-Ho. (probably not how you spell it though) It was about a Panda.

Or Babapapa - about blobby shaped characters who could morph into different objects. (And we worry about the stuff they watch today!!)

Does anyone remember Tales of the Riverbank? Hammy the Hamster and friends. They used real small animals. Never get away with it now I suspect.

Or what about Pipkins, with Hartley Hare and Humphrey Cushion!!

Those were the days!!!

Was Hartley Hare that scruffy thing that looked like it had been 10 rounds with Mike Tyson. If I'm right it used to give me nightmares...lol

What about Rainbow with Rod Jane and Freddy, how camp were they??

Oh and there used to be a thing on there called Sally and Jake, does anyone remember that??

You missed Bagpuss, my all time fave (and yes I have the video) Did you know they only ever made 13 episodes of Bagpuss!!

And Bod, it was crap but we all watched it. Mr Ben was my brothers fave, the only one I can ever remember is the one where he gets dressed in the Red Knights suit and goes fighting Dragons.

The two no one ever remembers when I mention them are Lizzy Dripping and Michael Bentines Potty time (the latter was a southern thing I keep being told!).

I could list you hundreds but I don't want to hog the thread!!
