yay!!!!! I was chatting to the year 3 teacher at Josh's school today (he moves into her class in september so thought i would get organised). Just a general chat on how he is doing, and how he will cope when moving to her class, and the fact that i dont seem to be getting any additional help for him. Well she said she would sort something, and i thought yeah, i have heard it all before, thinking that would be the last i heard from her. NOT, she asked to see me at the end of school today, giving me forms for inclusion support services, and asked me if i mind her talking to his paedeatrician, pyschologist, ed pysch, and any other medical and professional person regarding Josh to sort some extra help for him. I was gobsmacked and didnt know what to say, i certainly wasnt expecting her to organise stuff this quick, and she is sorting me some training stuff for the pda too, so triple wammy lol. the only thing she said we couldnt get was the statement as yet, but to keep reminding her every couple of months after he moves into her class and they will monitor the situation........ so watch this space............... for progress.
