Diasabled Persons Railcard; Cheaper Train travel for the disabled

I am an Ex-Ticket Inspector on the Railways and can strongly reccomend that if any of you have a member of your family who is registered as Disabled and can travel by train, you get this person a Disabled Persons Railcard. One other person escorting them, gets HALF rate fare, the same as the disabled person, but only as long as the journey is completed with that person holding the railcard. Forms should be available at any manned station, but as I haven't done tickets for a few years now, I have no idea of the cost of them. I do know that if used enough in the year of validity, they make some excellent savings and especially on long journeys. It works like two travelling for the price of one.

yay
