Cerebra’s Grant Scheme.

Cerebra has increased their budget this year to give more grants to
help children who have disabilities because of a brain related condition
or injury. The condition may be of a physical nature or a learning
difficulty or both.

The equipment or resource requested must improve the child’s quality of
life and not be available from statutory agencies like social services
or the NHS. The child also must be aged 16 or under.

Some examples of grants made are touch screen computers, holidays,
approved therapies, power wheelchairs, and sensory toys.

Parents and carers can request an application form by calling 0800 328
1159 or by email at
mailto:debbieg@cerebra.org.uk .

It can also be downloaded at

i applied to cerebra and social services and the phyciatrist sent in references to them for darren the references had to confirm diagnoses and what it was you were asking for and the benefit to the child we asked for a trampoline with surrond for darren to help with his energy levels and frusterations they have said the grant will be going ahead that the references were satisfactory and they have paid direct to argos for a 13ft trampoline with surrond (as i dont fancy having to go to casulty all the time) when the family have finished with the item we are to contact them and they will collect it and pass on to another family so id would like to say a huge thankyou to mandy for putting cerebra on psbs i wouldnt have known about then otherwise mand your great thanks ever so much
