Did you know that if you have 3 children under 19 or have a child with a disability which necessitates a higher water consumption, and you are in receipt of benefits (any of the following: income support, job seekers, child tax credits, working tax credits etc) then you will may be eligible for a price cap on your water and sewerage bill if you are on a meter.

I have just applied, but not sure ifwe will get it yet as they say learning disability isn't covered  but due to having 3 kids under 19 may make me eligible any way, so I will apply and then wait and see.

Hiya Little Sis,

Just ring your water supplier and ask for an application form. If you are granted it from your supplier, then you will automatically be eligible for a price cap on sewerage bill as well. Good luck!

I got my application the other day and it only covers these conditions:

desquamation (flaky skin disease)
weeping skin disease (eczema, psoriasis, varicose ulceration)
incontinence
abdominal stomas
renal failure requiring home dialysis
crohn's disease
ulcerative colitis

OR have 3 kids under 19

AND you are in receipt of benefit

I will possibly miss out because of Jens disability even though she takes an age to get her showered, but will qualify on basis of 3 kids and being on benefit.

I guess if your child has soiling or incontinence then you will qualify too. Good Luck!
