The reform, when it comes in, should make it easier for children with Autism to get their badges based on the fact that many of them are not safe to walk around alone. It will also make it easier for parents of children under the age of 3 who need medical equipment to get their child a badge. Here is the easy read version: Blue Badge Reform |

but on the down side councils are going to be allowed to charge what they like for blue badges , will put a link up when i find it |

Yes they are, but it does say that the charges must be reasonable. Can't see them charging more than about £5 if it has previously been £2 and they will have to justify what they charge. |
