Won't be around for a few days gang, I'm touch typing this but my vision is going to be wobbly for a few days, had to have emergency treatment yesterday for a torn retina  poorly

Sat in sunglasses (cos of the stuff they squirted in my eye). But while eating my lunch yesterday I started seeing blood through the lens of my right eye, went to casualty and when finally got seen got whistled through at a rate of knots to the eye department, straight in, and then straight to have laser eye surgery. Apparantly if the tear in the retina had filled up with fluid my whole retina could have detached.....

Reading is a problem so I'm probably not going to be able to read any posts properly for a few days, but just wanted to let you know I'm still around, and thinking of you all.

xx

Quick whizz back in ....

Not so sensitive to light now, vision a little better. Loading up with my remedies and antioxidants .... Bilberry tincture, an antioxidant formula, eating lots of blackcurrents, raspberries, blueberries .... "vision smoothie anyone?" LOL

Follow up tomorrow, hopefully won't need more treatment. Fingers crossed.

Well my vision smoothies seem to be doing the trick clap-ping Didn't need further laser treatment yesterday, healing well, follow up in 3 weeks time. Told the doc I was loading up on berries for the antioxidants that support eye health, might as well have been talking martian :D Ho hum!

Anyway vision not completely back to normal yet but things def on the up. Spent a blinking fortune on supplements, but worth it, and I can go back to work. Just not going to drive for a few days, himself is having to chauffeur me a bit longer.

Been told I can't go jogging (well there was me thinking of doing the marathon LOL) or trampolining, or lifting heavy weights (hoovers and saucepans are very heavy aren't they but a glass of w ine is much lighter LOL)

But all in all yss

Hi Sue,

glad things are improving, that is great news. I notice this was posted some time ago, so my apologies as I've been away.

How are things now?

Well I've kept up the "vision smoothies" LOL and taken supplements til they are coming out of my ears... perhaps I should say loaded them up the eyeballs

But got the all clear yesterday. The repair in the tear in the retina has held, and there's no sign of any other likely rips so I've been discharged from the eye clinic at the hospital. yss

Hi Sue,

Sorry I haven't been around, but I'm going through a "drowning" period.

The news about your eye is fantastic. I'm so glad it's OK.
