The wind was gentle yet it had a bite, as if he was farther north, his red eyes adjusted to the low light as he started to make out the surroundings. The Jedi Master walked carefully forward, large, dark wood trees jutted out of the hard soil. Sadif crouched; he did not know where he was now that Miles and Master Phode had gotten separated from each other. His hood covered his long white tentacles and bared teeth, Sadif studied the ecosystem of Onderon many times over as have most Jedi but he hoped to attain some form of information or direction as to where he was positioned to where they had originally landed at.

This is strange, the Force is disrupted and distorted, and I am lost and confused out here... His thoughts came to him in delayed waves, the presence of the Sith Lord's Tomb greatly effected Sadif's power to control the Force.
He simply kept his wits about him as his feet took him gingerly along the base of the large trees, passing over tree roots and massive blankets of thick moss that created miniature valleys and halls for the Jedi Master to move along. The birds and other creatures around the place made small sounds which echoed in the spacious forest.
As Sadif hiked along the hills and over rock pools, he came to a large grove; the hardwood trees towered up to create a dense and shady canopy above. Master Aekel stayed at the edge; probing out in front of him with the Force he was a Jedi Master who had studied for eight hundred years the magnificent Power that bound all things. He could control a great amount when the situation called for it.

There came a silence as the familiar 'flowing' feeling washed over his body, the Force swept over the moss and grass covered forest floor, like a radar it enabled Sadif to literally map out everything living and non living around him.
The area was large, five hundred feet around him was large roots, ancient trees and large stone pillars triptychs jutting from the rock below, some reaching sixty, seventy feet high. There was a band of men, all armed and had bad intentions about them. Sadif opened his eyes to creep to the next tree about twenty feet away, where it cast a great shadow across the floral and as he wrapped his dark brown over robe about himself he blended into the background rather well. The Jedi knew who this party was comprised of, ruffians and criminals of the long standing war with the only city on the planet, Iziz. These men where hard and would not stop to negotiate, but Sadif didn’t plan to get caught.

"Rutaurall we have been out here all day, w'en we get to go back up to the camp?" A deep voice asked out to the party’s unseen leader, Sadif crept using the Force to silence any sound he may have made approaching. He could see the small band was nestled into a nest like bowl of rock, fallen trees along with the ones sit standing allowed the criminals to spot their victims before they knew they had been spotted.

"We'll go when I say we go." Came a deeper voice from closer to Sadif, there was a warm fire from wheat the Twe'lik could see, his eyes could see the heat as he came closer, the hooded Jedi could spot two rough looking men , hairy and wearing loose leather and fabric coats or shirts, with black pants, and belts with swords and axes. Sadif could feel that they lived a life of travel, on the road raiding caravans and other criminals in this chaotic land. He felt their memories of battle through grasslands and steeps, through these woods even, there was a purpose.

"Ahh, you just want to beat Qudpoil for head counts, Sadif came closer, he could make out a tall broad shouldered warrior, with a massive double bladed axe over his shoulder, and he wore a metallic breastplate held with straps and belts. He had a main of long, curly hair. The tall Warrior prodded a bag of lumps, which rolled around in response to the nudge, Sadif felt sad for the victim’s scenes of hacking and beheading passed through his mind like fire, screams and voices echoed like the sound of the woods.

"BAH!" Snorted the leader, a squared off stout figure with a blaster rifle slung over his muscled arm, the Leader stood near three more goons as they picked as some kind of black meat. "I'll do what I want, plus I was wantin to stay the night, this moving thing is always making things hard!" The man yelled out clenching his large fists. The Axe man came to rest by the large primitive looking cart with metal wheels and a wooden carved storage area. The Jedi just observed in silence, "Just two more miles and I will let us drink that keg of Hillchurn we nabbed from the last ones.." The leader pleaded his real agenda coming through. He did want to beat this other criminal named Qudpoil.

Not so far away.
----------------

The two carts molled along the flat ground as the nomadic group made slow time down the small path along the side of the hill,

"Mother, are we there yet?" Kypt asked, the small six year old gypsy boy moved the leather flap aside that was the cart window, his mother sat breast feeding his younger sister.

"No Kypt calm down, you will make Sunna sick." Scolded Kypt's mother, a forty some odd nomad, he family exiled for years.

----------------

Sadif had decided to sit it out with the group of Raiders as see if they lead him to a town or port so he could get back to the Council and re organize. The group had sent out four of the lower ruffians out into the woods to scout about for other prey as the others gather branches and large logs so they could make camp in the protection of the rock formation.
Aekel could feel there boredom, their want for battle as they went about their mundane tasks he frowned upon it but didn’t act on his dislike for their past, he sat about thirty feet above them, safely behind a large boulder, covered in large thick vines and roots. The temperate weather allowed for Sadif to stay warm in his simple Jedi garb which helped because he really didn’t know how long the men would stay in the make shift camp.

"Rutaurall, Rutaurall, Rutaurall!! Come here comrades, we got our selves a small two cart caravan. Easy kills for the night is done!" One of the scouts said as he made his was limberly down the rough terrain, Sadif knew they must have been used to this area, fighting and surviving around these huge trees. The Jedi Master perked up as his ears caught the man's ecstatic voice. Sadif came around the boulder low staying out of view but watching as the ten or so men came up to hear the news.

"They are about a mile away, moving slow with lots of food and supplies in the first cart, there is only six guards too!"

"If we get em while them isnt lookin, we can make way with their goods for they know we 'ill im!" Jeered one thin swordsman, who also had strange tattoo marks over his chest and neck. Sadif wouldn’t allow innocent blood to be spilt in front of him, this must end.

"Well where is them?" a voice faded as Sadif Aekel lightened his step with the Force, lifting himself over the massive roots and rocks as he traversed the rocks to come to the low entrance of the camp, a over hanging wall of vines hung in front unnaturally but it blended in well enough to hide the mouth of the camp.

They must use this often, they will know the lay of the land. He told himself as his pale hand braced him over a fallen tree, the wide slabs of heavy layered bark where as thick as a man's foot. He landed and rolled to lay against the cold surface of a rock, it was smooth and flecked with yellow deposits. Sadif slide down the side crouching as the party of criminals came out of their hiding whole and left down a trail.

"This one better be good this time, I owe Namin a fair hand of my stash to him so I need all I can get." Grunted a large bearded fighter as the two stragglers moved along the narrow paths and log bridges that led to the unaware caravan. The two rogues both held copper colored swords that hung at their waist, and other then that the only weapons they had where similar dirks or small daggers.

"This will be your last time I am afraid." Said the bodiless voice, the two men stopped as they sat on the narrow ridge along the small cliff. Sadif dropped to his fighting stand for Form II, Sadif was a Master of two of the Seven Forms of light saber combat of précis movement and communication with the Force.

"What the--"

The acidic crackle of the light blue light saber coming to life cut off the mountain man's voice. He and his comrade drew their metal swords and approached Sadif slowly, wielding the heavy crude edges like they were used to hacking their prey, but they would not be so fortunate this time.

"I am giving you this one chance to turn away and leave, go back to your homes wherever they may be, or be cut down where you stand." Sadif felt the urge to leave, to not provoke conflict but his mind and self couldn’t deny the unknowing travelers his help and protection.
The two just glared at Sadif, his alien features where well, alien to them, Onderon was not friendly to outsiders, and especially Jedi. They came at him slow but sure, their coppery weapons gleamed in the soft light as it fell through the canopy above, and columns of pale light dotted the ridge the three combatants stood.
There was a burst of movement as the criminal to the left came at the Jedi Master, his arm raised high for a stake to his upper half. Sadif stepped in and spun, his body almost touching the attacker as Sadif stuck his foot out, tripping up the raider and sending him sprawling to get a mouth full of rock and moss. The second ran in full bore, stabbing out, but the quick roll of his thin wrist and Sadif spun the beautiful blade of his through the air and down through the man's arm at mid lower sword arm. His precise technique of Form II came out as he disabled his opponent and left him useless to the now recovering second raider. Sadif twirled the blade again, bringing it up in front of him as the man clawed away dirt and rock from his mouth, a trickle of red blood ran down his face form the fall.
There was a glint as his worn hands scooped up the crude sword and brandished it again against his foe, his large legs bringing him at the smaller Jedi at a run.

SHHHINNG The blade sang as the man roared, spit flying from his mouth as he leapt at Sadif.

THUD

The man was bewildered to find he was laying on the ground and everything was fuzzy. Then he went black. The Jedi had thrown him against the hard wall with a strong wall of the Force taking him down for a few hours, while the other man bled all over the moss covered grown, passed out from shock and pain.

Sadif's hand flicked the activation button on his saber, bringing the blade down so he could move off to catch up with the others, glad he didn’t have to take anyone's life.

The travel was short to find the next group, this time tree of the criminals crouched together on the ridge as they waited for the others to signal. The three attackers and assembled a moderate pile of rocks that they were preparing to drop onto the fabric roofed carts, and heads of the already few caravan guards while the others storm the surprised.

Sadif came out from around the tree and focused, stepping softly and using the Force to make a sound near the group, but in the trees.

CRASH

The leaves rustled and the three raiders grabbed for their weapons, two of which where swords like the others but the third had a small Imperial blaster. They searched around the ferns and tall grass as Sadif crept past, he was almost out of view when the one with the blaster spotted him and fired. A bolt of crimson laser hit a tree above the Jedi, who rolled in response to the attack, his saber shooting out horizontally, his robes flying open. The raider gave a grunt and squeezed off another bolt that went straight at Sadif.

ZOooo

The light saber blade deflected the shot back at the barbarian like man, hitting him in the shoulder leaving a scorched mark smoke rising as he reeled back. Raider number two and three got their stuff together just in time to draw coppery swords and pick up a rock each.

"This time, we make you like a mess wizard man." Chortled the second as his jagged scimitar swung out front of him, much like the crackling and glowing blade of the Master Jedi.

"You want to put the rock down."
Sadif said forcefully, his hand extended as he pushed the Force out toward him, causing him to falter and as if on command his left hand went limp, and the heavy grey stone dropped to the grass. The raider didn’t even recognize that he had just been controlled, but he charged forth blade extended. Sadif flashed out his saber, it passed through the pinkish red blade like a razor over soft skin, and the hilt was all that was left in his hand as they came forward.

"Ohhh" The raider feel forward, his arms waving and handle dropping to the forest floor. Sadif leapt over him, soaring toward the third, again his body manipulated the Force to arc himself gracefully, his attack coming down as he landed, again severing the arm, his entire arm up to the shoulder fell, spouting blood.

"NNOOOOO!" Sadif quickly beheaded the screaming raider as he would alert the guards. His blade flashed across his neck and there was a heavy thud as the head, beard, and bloody neck fell.
Sadif felt the Force disruption and it pained him, as he saw the now dead man crumpled to lay beside his still rolling head. The fight wasn’t over yet, the man got up, and took off running, now disarmed and beaten. Sadif took flight after him casing him into the woods. The raider made great time over the rough and unstable terrain, the boulders and roots just seemed like objects he slipped around and rolled over, running for his life from the Jedi.
Sadif clenched his sharp teeth as he ran after the raider, the trees and open groves and small clearings passed by, Sadif's foot falls falling one after the other. The fleeting shadow and rushing sound of leaves passing by may have confused many other people, but not Sadif. His mind probed out feeling the slimy criminal recoil it every time he came close to feeling or getting a hold of him. It was however enough for the Jedi to know and Keep track of the running man.

There was a great crash as Sadif flew from the greenery around him to find he had come out into a large group of them waiting for him, the rest ahead some how been alerted, strange. Sadif walked slowly out into the faded light as to show himself.

"I am Sadif Aekel, you are not permitted to leave this area in the name of the Republic." He said smoothly, his pale hands folded across his front, his large full robes fell about him, his saber tucked deep within the Jedi grab.
Sadif actually would prefer talking with everyone instead of resorting to attacks and parries but unfortunately here on the fridge planets life was dangerous and hard so when in Rome...
The tall broad shouldered man came forward, the second in command it would seem, with the metal breast plate came forth, his eyes searching the newcomer with a great intensity, his axe still over his shoulder.

"Where'd you come from, this is our section of the forest. Either pays us for crossing our land or you'll be eating my axe blade!" He said strongly although his usual roar and growls where not there. The second in commanded took a few more steps forward. Sadif had a feeling that the negotiations where going to go very bad.

Even Closer Now
-------------------

Kypt had fallen asleep to the rattle and constant lull of the cart wheels rolling over the small moss hills and fertile ground, the golden haired boy lay in the corner by a large animal hide wrapped bundle of clothes and blankets. The two carts where now in the center of a large cliff where it made its way slowly through the huge canyon created by roots and the smooth rock face to the right, towering above the small caravan. Along side the two carts two men walked at the front, carried small blaster pistols and wore very light leather armor, two more took up the side and the other four road on or around the carts as they pressed on to their insignificant destination.
The silence and peace was broken when a man's body fell from behind the ledge of the large rock face, vines grew along the side clutching to the stone.

"Where did that come from!" asked the captain of the guard, a man wearing a large red cap, his gloved hand pointed to the broad shouldered man who no longer had the axe or his right hand, which was cut clean off.
Two Caravan Guards ran over and looked about, there was screaming and sounds of yells.

"Captain, someone does battle close! Listen." He said back to his darker skinned Captain from beside the dead Raider. Black hair and blood was all that was spattered away from the man who was very close to 'implanted' into the ground, a single wound in his chest where Sadif had stabbed him right thought the heart killing him instantly, no pain.

"Stop the carts, get everyone inside!"
The Captain ordered waving his left arm and directing two others to help several passengers tie down the goods. Meanwhile, children awoke and started to moan, and cry adding to the overall feeling of dread that had settled over the group at the sight of the broken man.

A huge rock came flying from the cliff, it skipped as the grey mass crashed down and bounced into the air again, its momentum carrying it over the cart to plant itself in the dirt. The Caravan Guard nearest the large rock face spun around, legs spread and blaster up to see several Raiders scaling the cliffs and running along ledges as they descended upon the panicked caravan.

"Drunit, get over behind that boulder and lay down cover for us!" The Captain yelled brandishing his small blaster rifle. "Get back, get the women and children back!" The whole scene was chaos, fist sized rocks hailed down in torrents, splintering the sides of the carts, and in some places breaking holes through the wood.
-------------------

The hum of his light saber sang, his robes twirled and a soft blue light danced about the ridge as Sadif evaded attacks with the aid of the Force, guiding and mapping his movements.

"Get the witch man, I want his hea' on a stick I tell you!" The stout, broad leader said, blasting of rapid fire at the Caravan Guard who had now taken cover only one lay dead on the ground, he had been smashed in the head with one of the falling rocks. He now lay in a puddle of gore and face, his head crushed.
Sadif just closed his eyes as he focused his energy to one man who had managed on to the first cart, his sword out to hack as the binds.

"WHATS HAPPINGIN', WHATS HAPPINGIN'!!!" Yelled the marauder as his arm stopped in mid air as if an invisible hand grabbed it. It jerked to the left then twisted, rolling the man over making him drop the primitive sword, which in turn crumpled into a ball then fell to a twisted, and useless lump of metal. The stunned man rubbed his hairy arm as he sat up, legs spread open up totally shaken up. He had gotten his blurred vision back just in time to see the Jedi dancing toward him saber flashing as hands and arms came off, disabling the Raiders.

Drunit lay, dust settled in the pale sunlight, the sound of rustling and chirping birds seemed to become louder as he came too, his arm was numb and so was his leg which was twisted backward and his leather tunic was fresh with warm blood near his chest. The fighter had been grazed with a sword as he had moved along the small squirmish, the cut did not make him uncomfortable during battle but it had lost allot of blood since then. Rivers of blood ran down his ribs as he fell back to the soft ground, his head light and fuzzy, and his mouth dry. He felt a cool hand touch his forehead which seemed to spread to his ears and creep down his neck.

"Lay still brave soldier, you did well the people are now safe no..." The Sadif's soft, soothing voice faded as the Caravan guard gripped the last of consciousness, his light green eyes rolling back into his battered face. The Jedi held the man's wrist and head while using the Force to revitalize his mind, allowing him a better chance of surviving of his very serious wounds.

"Must stabilize him.." The Twe'lik though his mind racing to save this man.

Drunit had killed four of the attacking men as they rushed the second cart, they battled, fighting hand and hand at some points where one of the Raiders had gotten lucky and hit him with one of the rocks thrown earlier, smashing him in the forehead and sending him keeling over the side to break his leg and pass out. Sadif and the Captain where the only other soldiers left from the Caravan Guard, the rest lay strewn among body parts and the other dead Raiders. It was a scene of great pain and sadness.

"Help..." A small voice called from under the second cart, it sat blood stained and damaged by the hail of heavy rocks and stones, dead corpses and their dented weapons rested in the moss as young Kypt now called from his hiding spot.

"Kypt!" His mother called from the shelter of the woods, the survivors had gathered on the edge of the path to re organize. The child and mother reunited as some picked up the valuables or salvageable items from the battle.

"I want to thank you for your bravery stranger, you aided us when other would have run, and the Outcasts would have killed us all." Capitan said to Sadif as he still remained bend over Drunit, focusing on stopping blood flow over his leg and chest.

"Captain, there is no time possible your last man left alive and he may not be for long if we don’t help him right now, get me a splint!" Sadif snapped, he would not dilly dally with simple pleasantry when he had come here to help these people and this poor, dying man needed his help now more then ever. The shaken Captain swallowed hard and nodded rushing to find a suitable splint for Drunits splintered leg. Sadif's glowing eyes searched over him, his hands clenched the tissue about his torn knee cap and leg joint, and through his alien hands the Force flowed up into his appendage, slowing the life blood as the solder lay struggling to hold to life.

Click came the sound of Sadif's herb kit, the power of the Force lived in all things and granted amazing properties to certain plants and grasses, many of which the Jedi carried with him. Drunit gave a moan and turned his head, the purple and dark blue bruising showing through, evidence of the impact with the rock. Sadif poured a small bag of dark green shake into his chest wound which began to bubble, killing the already growing infections, and turning to a pinkish paste. The Master Jedi also looked up to see the other helping out, joining in collecting the wounded and piling the dead, he noted their sad faces and the blank look of disbelief of the small children as they sat on the bag of carts or stood forgotten for the moment while crying mothers helped lift those he had cut down just minutes before. Sadif returned his gaze to the wreck of a man on the ground, his mind was ebbing, like a heartbeat a weak signal in the dark.

"I am here child, hold on." Sadif whispered as the Captain and a hearty looking man in brown tunic and pants ran over with a make shift stretcher and splint for Drunit's leg.

"Quickly, quickly, there isnt much time left for him." cautioned the white skinned alien as he worked the leather straps they had for tie under Drunits leather clad leg to ready the splint. The other man who had come along with the Captain held him re position the leg into its rightful position and binds the splint.
Soon the caravan was moving again Sadif and the Captain up front, the men had been loaded up into the back of the carts, until they arrived at the next settlement and could be tended too.
