Used to work as an elite soldier for the fire nation under fire lord Ozai's command, but while helping fight the avatar was left behind, injured, supposedly dead. After that she turned her back on the fire nation n works alone, doing only wat will benefit herself. She does not wish to return under the command of the new firelord as she fears the power will corrupt him n lead the world back to the way it was. She is currently residing within the earth kingdom under the alias of Xukori Koroshiya.
