Thanks Craig. The improvement has come just from specializiation. I think that if you focused on Oly lifting, that you would be cleaning 130 in no time. I'm taking a crack at it this weekend myself.

I think the Dark Side is calling to you, Craig... sooner or later you will witness the firepower of this fully armed and operational battlestation...

Nothing like doubling your previous 1RM. Nice work, Matt. This focus on olifting seems to really be working for you.

Sean, I can't stop thinking about it. Just thinking that I get to lift in a matter of a day or a few hours just gets me through everything

On a training note- that ab routeen I did must have worked, because when I sat up to get out of bed the DOMS hit me like a truck.

The following takes place between 5:00 PM and 7:30PM on Thursday, February 23, 2006

This workout brought to you by Bury Your Dead - Cover Your Tracks. One of the heaviest, most violent hardcore albums I've heard recently. If you like music that makes you want to smash everything in sight, you need to buy this album.

Trained in Moorestown tonight at ECG again. I love this place. Hate trying to get there, but once I am there, nothing matters.

Warmups were shrug snatches, bar x 3, bar x 3, bar x 3, bar x 3.

Squat Snatch from floor:

40 x 3
50 x 2
55 x 2
65 x 2
70 x 2
75 x 2
80 x 2 for a PR double.

Actually, it's my PR single too, but I am fixin' to change that on Saturday. There were a couple misses in there, but I just regrouped and stuck with the doubles. I didn't take too long between attempts whether I made them or missed- 20 to 30 seconds, tops. One miss was at 75 on a second attempt, I banged it out front and ended up jumping too far forward, then landed on my duff as I lost it pulling it too far out front. The second was my first attempt at 80, again a bang out front, but not as bad- I just couldn't save it and lost it in front. Coming back to nail 2 reps within mere moments was definitely an edifying experience for me. This weekend is the developmental meet at Moorestown and since I am testing Clean & Jerk, I might as well test the Snatch too.

Jerks from the blocks:

65 x 3
75 x 2
90 x 2
100 x 2
115 x 1
125 x 1
130 x 1 for a PR!
140 x miss, but it was close.
137 x 1 for a PR, with authority! A murderous 12kg better than my best previous jerk!!

Yes, finally, after almost three years, I locked out 300+ pounds (301.5 to be precise) overhead with no shakiness, no rubber legs. It stuck like glue and was mine. I probably could have taken 140 again and made it, but two PR's was enough for me in this lift, getting greedy might make it harder for me Saturday.

Snatch Pulls:

70 x 5
80 x 4
90 x 3
100 x 2
100 x 2

Par for the course. I was starting to wear out, though. My form was solid and I remembered all the things I needed to remember and got some great pulls, though.

Front Squat:

90 x 5
110 x 5
135 x 1.

That's it. I died right there. I knew my legs were just completely spent because that 135 felt like that 170 I doubled last week. Time to stop now, because I don't want to overtrain before test day.

In fact, depending on how I feel, I may not do much in the second session Saturday. The first session will be Snatch and C&J just like a meet, and the second one, I'm thinking, just snatch balance, lighter back squats, and light RDL's.

Next week begins a new training cycle, and I'm eager to see what's in store. As for now, I feel the seductive call of my bed, and getting a nice 10 hours of sleep is going to feel heavenly.

Today was a big day.

East Coast Gold has developmental meets every 3-4 weeks or so. Basically, lifters come in and test and are judged by the coaches. It's a dry run for an actual meet and it's a great tool to help gauge your progress. Instead of training, I decided to test my lifts and go all-out.

I took my time warming up in the snatch as my shoulders felt a little tight. Since I had romped all over my old full snatch PR of 80kg this past week I decided to take that as my opening lift. I was a little shaky at the top but I reined it in and stood. Good lift. Next up, 85 kilos- but then I changed my mind and added 2 more to the bar for 87 kilos. This is what I did in my meet in December in an ugly power snatch. Again, good lift, and more solid than the last snatch, as well as a PR for a full snatch! So where to go from here? 90 kilos was my best snatch, and let me tell you something about that one- it was probably the ugliest snatch this side of cheap PORN!. It never would have passed in a meet, as it was pressed out and just... not very good. But, that was then. This is now. I loaded the bar to 92 kilos, uncharted waters, and smoked it! All-around PR.

Took a rest and began to warm up for the Clean & Jerk. This time I was a little more bold- since I had doubled 120 earlier in the week, I took 125kg as an opener. I made it easily, tying my PR in the C&J. Alright, the train is moving now! I actually got one bad signal because I didn't follow the bar down enough, but 2/3 good signals made it official. 130 was loaded on the bar and BAM I made that clean like it was my JOB! But, when I dipped for the jerk I leaned forward a little and as a result, I lost it out front. So, I had to take 130 again and the clean was, once again, successful. This time, I did not lean forward and had a much better drive, but I lost it behind me. I am not sure if I was just off balance or if I didn't get enough legs into it, but I couldn't hold on to the jerk.

Still, today, I take away a PR snatch, a PR clean, and a PR total of 217 kilos.

Looking back on the month...

Old PR snatch, full: 80kg. New: 92kg (+12kg)
Old PR clean, squat: 125kg. New: 130kg (+5kg)
Old PR clean & jerk: 125kg. New: same.
Old PR jerk from rack: 115kg. New: 137kg from blocks (+22kg)
Old PR Oly Squat: 213.5kg x 2 New: 205kg x 2 (-8.5kg*)
Old PR Front Squat: 160 x 2 New: 170kg x 2 (+10kg)
Old PR meet total: 207kg. New: 217kg (+10kg)

*The back squat was in June of last year and I hadn't been training my back squats that heavy. No matter, the rest of my lifts have a long ways to catch up and in that time my back squat will definitely improve.

Four weeks. This much improvement. I am stunned. I think I've found my calling.

I even took a third shot at it since, well, it was there, right? But I didn't have any gas. It wasn't even a good clean pull.

But it was nice to know that I left it all on the platform, and, I am not too beat up today so I am going to go do a light session at Iron Sport before band practice.

Light session today, just to see how it feels to train post-meet and, because, well, I felt like it.

Snatch:

40 x 3
50 x 3
60 x 2
65 x 2
70 x 1, miss, miss, 1
70 x 1, miss

OK- wasn't going to beat myself up trying to get 70kg today. The ones I made felt good, the ones I missed weren't even close- all out front.

Clean & Jerk:

60 x 2+1
70 x 2+1
80 x 2+1
90 x 1+1
100 x 1+1

And... scene.

Burned some more energy at band practice following training.

While there, on TV was the IFSA contest from Sao Paolo. It was neat because I had never seen the new IFSA equipment in action before. That stuff looks cool as hell, but my one question is- how do they unload the stones from that chalice-like container?

That, and Jarno Hams speaks English with almost no discernable accent. Wasn't expecting that.

The following takes place between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 28, 2006.

First day of the second cycle. Not much has changed as far as the exercises go, and the volume seems a little lighter as far as reps go. Cycling up to a meet on April 1.

Warmups were shrug snatches, bar x 3, bar x 3, 40kg x 3.

Power Snatch/Overhead Squat:

45 x 2+2
55 x 2+2
65 x 2+2
70 x 1+2
75 x 1+2
75 x 1+2

No trouble here.

Squat Clean from below the knees:

60 x 3
70 x 3
80 x 3
90 x 2
100 x 2
105 x 2
105 x 2

This was... different. It was difficult for me to get used to pulling from just below the knees. I would pull each rep from the floor, pause 2" below the knees, and then scoop and explode. I did get the hang of it eventually- the key is to maintain back management. Even a little looseness in the back will screw up the bar path.

Clean Pulls:

115 x 4
130 x 3
145 x 2
145 x 2
145 x 2

Another thing about pulling from a stop below the knees- it's very taxing. My pulls didn't feel as lively as they did last week, but they were passable.

Abs: Floor Crunches, alt.legs, 2 x 20 and Lying Trunk Twists, 2 x 20 for 80 total reps.

10 minutes of stretching.

Knees feel a little sore, going to ice them when I get home.

matt, what the hell is with that character on the ironsport board "scott franklin". What an ignorant, insecure fuck. He made a comment that you lifted at the last total night and couldn't crack the top eight, so I retaliated, made fun of his grammar and said how it was interesting that you did shitty in a total night that you've never competed in, only spotted. Sorry for the irrelevant post, but this idiot has me fired up. See you soon.

The following takes place between 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM on Thursday, March 2, 2006.

The weather was shitty tonight. Snow I can handle. Rain I don't even think about. Freezing rain, however, is no joke. Since it would have taken me 3 hours to get to Iron Sport, I decided instead to train at Kennedy's Gym in Morgantown, PA, where I competed in my first Oly contest.

It was pretty empty, only a few people working out. This gym has what one might call "atmosphere". But they had the right equipment- an Eleiko bar and a full set of training bumpers and 1-kg increment plates and free-standing squat stands.

Warmed up with the shrug snatches, bar x 3, 30kg x 3, 35kg x 3, 40 x 3.

Snatch from below the knee:

50 x 3
60 x 3
70 x 2
70 x 2
70 x 2
80 x 2
80 x 2

Wow, did I mess up. I was supposed to go 45, 55, 65, 70, 75, but I used those big white 5-kg bumpers and counted them as only 5-kg, so I was actually 5kg heavier on each set. And then I realized how smooth each set was. I like the BKn snatch more than the BKn cleans- so far.

Jerks from rack:

Warmed up with 40 x 3, 50 x 3
70 x 3
90 x 2
100 x 2
105 x miss. MISS??!!??!?!?!?!?!??
105 x 2
110 x 2
110 x 2

Wow. I was dumbfounded. I haven't missed a 105 jerk in ages, but again, I noticed something. I just didn't seem to be very focused. Perhaps it was the change of gyms, or the weather, or maybe I was being a pussy. Yeah, that's it, I was being a big pussy, because I got angry and came back and nailed the 105 set, and then hit the last two sets without much trouble. But I was definitely not being aggressive, and I can't let that happen to me on that platform. Ever.

Snatch Pulls:

80 x 4
90 x 3
100 x 2
100 x 2
100 x 2

Nice and smooth.

Front Squat:

90 x 5
110 x 4
120 x 3
130 x 2
130 x 2
130 x 2

Decent but nothing spectacular. I was feeling tired. Haven't been sleeping as much as I should be.

Abs- 60 reps.

So it wasn't a stellar session. I did like my snatches- I definitely did well there with form and technique. I don't know why I fell apart during the jerks, I just didn't have a fire in me like I usually do. I don't want to make excuses, though- everyone has off days and I'll just have to do better next time.

Tomorrow is Moorestown. And, I'd like to wish good luck and strong performances to all my friends and teammates lifting at the Arnold this weekend!

The following takes place between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 4, 2006

Every day is a fight. It's what I have to tell myself each morning when I wake up. especially on days where I don't want to get up. Today was one such day. My bed was very comfortable. The room was cold and I was warm. I despised my alarm clock. And yet, I felt the call. So, up I got.

Trained at ECG today in Moorestown.

Squat Snatch from floor:

40 x 3
45 x 3
55 x 3
65 x 2
70 x 2
75 x 1, miss, miss, 1
75 x 1, miss, miss, 1

I always have trouble on that second rep. But, at least I can identify why I am missing them. I was having balance issues today in the hole. Lost one behind and three out front, but I just took a small breather, came back, and eventually made all my required lifts.

Clean & Jerk:

70 x 2+2
80 x 2+2
90 x 1+1
100 x 1+1
105 x 1+1
105 x 1+1

These were far from my best. Each clean felt like a PR attempt and my jerks had no snap whatsoever. The last set was decent, for some reason, but aside of the first couple warmups and light sets, I felt shaky, unstable, and fatigued. I began to grow very disappointed with myself. I go up to the platform with giving 100% in mind every time, and yet, it didn't feel like it when I was executing the lift. But- this was over, for now.

Back Squat:

105 x 5
125 x 4
145 x 3
155 x 3
155 x 3

If you were to tell me that I doubled 205 kilos in this lift two weeks ago I wouldn't have believed it. I've seldom felt so crushed by a bodyweight squat. And now my knees, which had started to hurt during the cleans, were really screaming at me. God bless Mineral Ice, it really helped keep me in the game today when it seemed like fate was conspiring against me.

During the break I discussed my state with Dave Miller. I told him that I was reluctant to say that I was overtrained because to me, that's like calling in sick. Even if it's legitimate, it's so overused as an excuse for simply being tired or having an off day that I have a hard time admitting to myself that it's the case. But when we walked through all the other possibilities- diet, sleep, stress at work or home, injury- those factors were all ruled out. He told me not to be so critical of myself, because I am still a beginner and I am still adapting to Leo's workouts. I was somewhat mollified by that, and I finally admitted to myself that yes, I am overtrained.

And so what? I refused to let that stop me from doing what I came here to do. I have two whole days (actually, three if you count the rest of tonight and all day Tuesday until my next session) to recover, rest, and eat, and dammit, that's my shining light on the hill.

The following takes place between 3:00PM and 5:00PM on Saturday, March 4, 2006

Warmed up and got right to work:

Snatch Balance:

45 x 3
55 x 3
65 x 2
70 x 2
75 x 2
75 x 2

Towards the end, I felt some snap coming back into my efforts. It was stimulating and carried me into my next workset.

Squat Clean from below the knee:

60 x 3
70 x 3
80 x 3
90 x 2
100 x 2
105 x 2
105 x 2

These were much better cleans than my ones from earlier. Same weights, doubles on most of them, and while I was getting very fatigued towards the end, I forged on. The soreness in my knees was actually abating throughout this session.

BTN Push Jerks:

50 x 5
60 x 5
70 x 5

Just feeling these out. They were solid, but not as punchy as they would have been if I were fresh.

RDL:

95 x 5
115 x 4
125 x 3

That's it. I was officially empty, and the gym was about to close.

The ride home sucked. Traffic was slow and I was having muscle spasms and joint aches the whole way. But, three days to rest and get myself ready for next week. Dave told me not to worry much about the weights I am supposed to do- just go until I can't go without sacrificing form or risking injury. Dave's a damn fine coach. His advice helped me to get rid of anxieties and just concentrate on the moment. As a result, my second session was much better than the first, because I just had fun with it and let go of my expectations.

Also, decided to take some measurements today:

Tale of the scale & tape:

BW: 345 lbs/156.5kg

Neck: 24.5"/63cm
Chest: 56"/142cm
Waist: 46"/118cm (50" at the navel, relaxed)
Hips: 54"/139cm
Biceps: 20"/51cm
Forearms: 17"/43cm
Thighs: 32"/81cm
Calves: 22"/56cm

Till next time...

Jeff, I am coming up on three years now. When I started out I never thought I'd be where I am now. In fact, my biggest worry was that something would sidetrack me and I would end up falling off the wagon. There were a couple times where I got sick in that first year where getting back into the gym after was tough. Then came the strongman training and things changed. Now I am at the point where if I don't train regularly I not only feel bad mentally, but physically as well. I haven't been sick in over 2 years beyond a minor cold. I know I am healthier than I was before I began training. I know my best years as a strength athlete are ahead of me, and that I will be doing this for the rest of my life.

As to where my training has taken me, from general fitness to strongman to O-lifting... what a journey. It seems like a lot longer than it's actually been, but I am savoring every session, every competition. There's no way I will take this for granted. I have years of inactivity to compensate for. I don't know where the road will lead, but I'm going to stay with the O-lifting for a good long time. I'll always love strongman, HG, powerlifting- any strength sport, but I found the one I want to marry, so to speak.

Don't worry about where it leads. The Path is the Destination, if ya dig.
Besides, you can be a competitive o-lifter AND succesful in Strongman AND Highland Games, if you choose to (think Koklyaev, Virastyuk, etc.).

I always enjoy reading your log- I hope you are saving this stuff elsewhere as well.

Thanks, Jeff- I keep these saved so I can look back on them now and then. And I agree about the path being the destination. Live in the now. Tomorrow isn't guaranteed.

The following takes place between 6:00PM and 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 7, 2006.

I spent the last two days resting and eating. Even work was slow on Monday. On Sunday I just watched episodes of 24 on DVD. All day. It really, really helped.

Warmed up with shrug snatches, but only did 2 sets with the bar of 3 reps.

Overhead Squat/Power Snatch:

40 x 2+4
45 x 2+3
55 x 2+3
65 x 2+2
70 x 1+2
77 x 1+2
85 x 1+2
85 x miss
85 x 1+2

Not bad. All were pretty damned snappy. The miss was a bang out front, no biggie. And my foot spacing was not too wide- I only had to bring them in to hit the squat once.

Squat Clean from below the knee:

65 x 3
80 x 3
95 x 2
105 x 2
112.5 x 2
120 x 2
120 x 2

I got the "hang" of these now (groan). The 120kg sets weren't as hard as I thought they would be, but stopping the bar below the knees makes it harder to get the scoop, so I was jumping forward a little bit to catch them. But- I caught them, and they all felt pretty strong.

Clean Pulls:

115 x 5
130 x 4
145 x 3
160 x 2
160 x 2

Heaviest clean pulls I've done. The scoop and Surgs were powerful, but 160kg doesn't accelerate the same as 120 for me- not yet. Still, I know this will be mine someday. I could feel it when I exploded and that bar jumped.

Abs- 80 reps. bw x 10 unweighted reverse hypers, 40 alt-leg floor crunches, 20 lying trunk twists, 10 woodchoppers with a 25-lb plate (5 towards each foot).

Some light stretching and I was outta there.

I feel pretty decent this morning, a little sore. It's massage day, though. I will be enjoying it greatly.

Awesome cleans matt! I can tell you from watching your cleans and pulls that your explosive power has grown since full time olympic lifting, great work. Now if only I could get in the habit of always remembering to finish my pulls... Maybe soon I could be making 120 look like 60, as you did.

Pfft, I don't know if I made it look like 60. It certainly didn't feel like 60. I guess, for me, knowing how long it took me to get 120, every time I nail it now I smile inside.

And, Craig, you have 125 in you. Today.

That reminds me, I'll be at Iron Sport tomorrow because there won't be many people in Moorestown. The Junior Nationals and Pan Am trials are this weekend and most of the coaches and lifters are already in Orlando.

So, maybe you could take a whack at 125 then?

The following takes place between 4:30PM and 6:30PM on Thursday, March 9, 2006.

Went to Moorestown tonight because I needed the jerk boxes again. Even left work an hour earlier than I usually leave. Traffic wasn't bad then, but I can't keep taking half-days just to use the jerk boxes. I wish we had some at Iron Sport but Steve says there's no room for them. Such is life.

Warmed up with shrug snatches, bar x 3, bar x 3, 30kg x 3, 35kg x 3.

Squat Snatch from below the knee:

45 x 3
55 x 3
65 x 2
75 x miss, 1
80 x 2
80 x 2

Not bad but not great either. Could have used some more shrug on some of them. I was distracted tonight, story after the rest of the log.

Jerks from the blocks:

held each split 3 seconds

warmup 40 x 3
65 x 3
80 x 3
95 x 2
110 x 2
125 x 2
125 x 2

Warmups and light sets were good. 95 and 110-kg sets were a little less so. The first 125 set was barely passable, and the second 125 set was splendid. I had an epiphany about my jerks, and as with most epiphanies, I wonder why it didn't dawn on me sooner.

I've been getting by with them mostly on raw power, but now I am at the point where technique is critical. Up until now I thought I had good technique. Truth is, I don't. I have to learn how to hit my foot placement every time and, once the weights get heavy, not to be afraid of driving under more than I do. I have to learn balance and stability. My balance was just off on a lot of these jerks.

Snatch Pulls:

80 x 5
90 x 4
100 x 3

Front Squat:

warmup 70 x 5
90 x 5
120 x 4
140 x 1

That was it for me. As I said, I was distracted a lot, and with no coaches there, didn't have anyone to push me when I felt like I couldn't go anymore.

The distraction.

As I said, most of the ECG crew is in Florida. They had some other guy there in the office keeping an eye on things. 20 minutes into my workout he asks me to keep a watch on the place so he can go get his girlfriend. Er... yeah. Sure. I guess. Now, it's not just me here, there's a lot of high school athletes and even a few younger kids here. It's not a rowdy place, so I figure, what the hell. He says he'll be back in 30 minutes.

Of course, this means that I have to keep one eye on what's going on, and also field questions from some of the kids. This one kid, 10 years old, asks me if he can lift weights, and I said he'd have to wait and ask the guy who was in charge. Hell, I don't want to be responsible, and he has no parent or guardian with him. So, finally, the guy comes back around the end of my jerk sets. The kid comes back soon after and gets permission to lift. Just cable stuff mostly, and there's plenty of older high school students in that area. Oh well, it's on him if the kid gets hurt. I did keep an eye on him, though, and set him up with a kid's bar with training discs so he wouldn't try to lift the 20kg bars over his head.

So... yeah. I was a bit distracted, and a little unfocused, but overall, it wasn't bad. The jerks took a lot out of me too, I think. Also had a lot of lower back pain- I think it's those pauses below the knee. More later...

Fuckin' SLAYER!!
The following takes place between 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM on Saturday, March 11, 2006.

When I woke up this morning I thought, geez, today is going to be a fight. I was sore, stiff, and felt like I could sleep all day. In fact, I debated skipping today and lifting tomorrow instead, but quickly banished that thought and forced myself out of bed. Once showered, I was refreshed and I felt much better. My joints were not hurting, which is always a welcome sign.

I trained at Iron Sport today, since most of the ECG coaches and lifters are still in Florida.

I spent a while warming up. Knowing that it was a long day, I didn't want to rush it. Did my whole dislocation/rotation routeen, got my legs and back loose. Even did some leg extensions to get some blood in the knees. Then, a few shrug snatches, bar x 3 x 3, and I was ready to go.

Squat Snatch from floor:

45 x 3
55 x 3
65 x 2
75 x 1
85 x 1
85 x 1

Wow. Snappy as all get-out. Even the 85's were quick, though locking them out was, naturally, harder. Still, patience was my strong suit. I simply waited in the hole until the weight was stable, then stood up. Toyed with the idea of going heavier, but decided to move on.

Clean & Jerk:

65 x 2+2
80 x 2+2
90 x 1+1
105 x 1+1
120 x 1+1
130 x 1+1 for a PR!!!

So, what worked? Jerks were better tonight, though a couple were a little off. I think the aggression I put into the lifts today really paid off in stars, but it was a controlled aggression. I didn't worry so much about perfect technique- as it was, the 130 clean wasn't my prettiest, but it was passable, and the jerk was very stable and solid. Just a note, at the beginning of December my best clean was 115 kilos, so 15kg in 3 months' time is an achievement I am really psyched about.

Back Squat:

warmup 60kg x 5
100 x 5
120 x 4
140 x 3
160 x 2
180 x 2

Again, I was considering going to 200 kilos but the 180 set felt very tough, and I decided to stop there. I did have another session coming up and wanted to leave something in the tank for it.

Abs- floor crunches 2 x 20, lying trunk twists 2 x 10. 60 reps.

A good first session and a C&J PR. Can't argue with that.

The following takes place between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM on Saturday, March 11, 2006.

Got some food in me and I am ready to go!

Snatch Balance:

45 x 3
55 x 3
65 x 2
75 x 2
85 x 2

Tried another go at 85 and missed it- fatigue was working it's way in no matter how much I focused.

Squat Clean from below the knee:

65 x 3
80 x 3
90 x 2
105 x miss
105 x 2
120 x miss
120 x 1, miss.

Honestly didn't think I would get 120 once, but I did, and I'll take that and happily move on. The first miss was out front, rolled out of my grip. Second one I lost my grip completely on the second pull and fell ass-over-teakettle off of the platform. Comedy gold! Nothing like doing that at the precise moment Steve Pulcinella walks in and starts laughing at you. After making sure I was alright, of course.

RDL:

100 x 5
120 x 4
140 x 3
160 x 2

Fuck me, I just want to go home now. Every rep was now a battle and the desire to cut things short started to creep in, but I kept those beasts at bay and just kept forging on.

Behind-The-Neck Push Jerks:

60 x 3
80 x 3
100 x 2
110 x 2

OK, that time I compromised. I was suppposed to do 100 for three sets of two, but instead I added 10kg and cut one set. It was getting close to closing time anyway.

Afterwards I did some stretching and took a piping hot shower. The ride home was nice, the weather was gorgeous. I spent a lot of time Sunday driving- going slow, taking in every sight, sound, and smell. It was amazing to me. Though my legs felt like hammered shit and my knees were ablaze in pain from being scrunched under the dashboard of my Hyundai, I have seldom in my life ever felt so alive. My senses were just so heightened, every detail leapt out at me. I heard things in music I didn't normally hear. And yes, getting out of my car was agonizing, but once I started moving around I began to feel better. Now, as I type this, the glow is leaving me, and soon I'll just be sore and tired, but I am glad I savored that feeling this afternoon. Might sound fruity but when you get a chance to stop and smell the roses, so to speak- do it. You'll be glad you did.
