Anyone have any vague idea what my max C&P might have been previously?? It's been so long since I trained I really don't remember! I did quite well yesterday training and was wondering if maybe I'd hit a max lift for once! |

I can't remember, Flick. I'm glad to see you're coming back quickly, though. |

I'm really lucky, my body seems to have adapted back to training very well. It's nice to have something to work towards and suprisingly nice to have someone to train with... I feel safer doing Clean and Press with someone else around -really motivates me. Got a question though for all, I need to practice Yoke but obviously don't have a yoke apparatus -and to be realistic have no intention of trying to make one myself so what's the best thing I can do to practice? Is it just a case of walking around with a bar across my shoulders with weights on or doesn't this simulate very well as with Yoke the weights are on the bottom...? |

Flick - work on high rep squats to get some stamina into your legs. Also do some partial squats of the top 4-6 inches of the movement, but load the bar up HEAVY. This will get you used to having a heavier weight on you, and it simulates picking the yoke up. |

Don't need to worry about my max Clean and Press as I've just hit a new PB! 2 reps at 40kgs! I know this is definitely a best lift as I've never ever hit 40kgs before -so proud of me!
:P At last I have conquered my Overhead fear! Had an absolute hoot doing tricep pushdowns at one of those seated machines! The weight was so heavy it was lifting me and Jane off the ground! I had to get her to push a 20kg weight into my lap to weigh me down while I was exercising!

Well it is for me yeah! I'm still a baby weakling though lol! Colin, we had a go at a farmers hold last last with really thin handled dumbells -I AM NOT AMUSED! Couldn't even pick up 60kgs in each hand let alone 70kgs! Could be the one amusing part of White Cliffs for me! |

Picking up dumbells is harder than picking up farmers Flick! The farmers handles will be much higher up than a dumbell would be. |

Well I'm sticking with my own prediction of "if you want a laugh" come and watch me attempt to do this event lol
:P Don't worry I'm not complaining -it's my fault if I'm not strong enough no-one elses! How did you go in Bexhill last night Col? |

Not bad, feeling tired today though. Squatting tonight - but I think I'll ease off a bit and not do too much. |
