That's what happens when a BIG guy is screwing :lm around on wet grass without cleats. Who was your adventuresome partner? Sorry to hear about the injury. A groin will take some time to heal. I had a POP in my lower abdomen in April (Inguinal Tendon) and if I move the wrong way it still can bite me. So, no more competitions for the rest of the year just to get healthier. At least you have youth on your side. :wiley Brock

Actually feels about a 100 times better today but it wasn't bad enough were i was limping around at all so it shouldn't be a problem. |

Pec feels god right now, but I strained my hamstring badley the other day. It was all knotted up for a few days. I figure it's just because I haven't squatted in a week. Everything should be good by friday. |

You know you're stuck lifting for life when if you don't do heavy squats, deads, and presses, you start getting injured for no reason whatsoever. If I don't deadlift for about 1.5 weeks, my lower back bothers me. |

I know what you mean Jamie. I was sitting down watching TV while eating a big bag of popcorn, then I proceed to get one mother of a cramp in my hammy. My god, it was like the equivalent of a heart attack, only it was in my hamstring!! I could think of many things I'd rather experience than that. |

Earlier this year, I had some elbow/forearm pain and a tweaked back. Seems to be mostly better now. |

Lateral knee tendon has been receiving therapy for close to a month. Tried light squats yesterday and got up to 4 reps with 200lbs. Now the joint feels like a combo of numb & sore. Hopefully it's a sign of recovery that I can walk normally today. |

I've had patella tendonitis before - but I think I might have actually fucked up my knee now.
:( I get an intense sharp pain in my knee if I touch part of my kneecap. Didn't cause me any trouble training today, only noticed it when I scratched an itch on my knee just now and it FUCKING HURT when I touched it. Ice and ibuprofen for me I think..... |

My patella tendon is really inflamed. :( Think it is from doing Conan's wheel twice in a week, with a squat session inbetween. Probably too much in too short a space of time. |

Did the Yoke for the first time yesterday. Today I have a lump along my spine at the upper back/lower neck area. Moving muscles doesn't affect it nor is there any sharp pain at the location. Wondering if it's just something that will go away in a few days or if a doc should look at it. Would hate to ignore something now that could become more serious later. |

Give yourself a day or two. If it doesn't recede by then, go have someone look at it. Chances are, though, if there's no limit on ROM or area sensitivity, you're probably fine. - Sean |

I agree
|
I have a big lump at the base of my c-spine there, it started growing back when I started squatting. I am told it's like a fatty deposit kind of like a callus on my neck. It does hurt and swell up somewhat if I put the bar on it to squat, and has likely helped contribute to my disc problems simply by influencing where I had to put the bar when squatting. Give it few days to settle down, I expect it's nothing to worry about. |

Tweaked my left shoulder again, dammit. Just in time for my next contest. Pressing a submaximal weight, too. I think the clean&press each rep bit threw me off my groove. |

Oh Grant...hurt again? Damn man...after Cobourg (when I screwed my sacro-iliac again) I went to the chiro three times a week. It is good now (I did it July 3) but I hope it lasts through Woodstock and the Iron Horse. We gotta get that shoulder of yours back to perfect... -T- |

I'm on the urgent list for a knee scope on my good knee. LOL Testing products can takes its toll especially when the tube step bracket snaps off under the strain of my carcass and my right knee comes down on the door sill and drives the patella upward and outward. SHIT. Lots of crunching and grinding in there now. I wonder if the viking pressing and deadlifting I did the other day made it worse? :P Clean it out and train hard this fall and winter...I might just do a few more comps too. :peace |

See? Scotty knows how to make me feel better... It's not really that bad, Timm -- just a definite "tweak" + soreness + weakness in certain ranges of motion. First problem I've had with it all season. |

I posted this on my workout log but I'm one of the walking wounded (STILL). Besides the strained Inguinal tendon and right knee from Powerlifting Nationals in April I now pulled my right groin when I did the Renaissance Festival at the end of August. I discovered last night that I can't squat even with bodyweight! I am forced to be creative and work at getting my injuries to heal while working on dropping some pounds. So, if you see me wearing spandex in an aerobics class don't call National Geographic to say you spotted Sasquatch in suburbia. :fit McLifter |

Bicep tendons are giving me pain when I do overhead. I'm trying to keep my elbows pointed down instead of back to take stress off of them. I should probably start doing bicep work since I've neglected it for years and there's probably an inbalance. |
