Fuckin' SLAYER!!

I am just wondering, if I am doing snatch or clean technique on off-lifting days with, say, just a bar or very light weight, how much should I do? Example, I would like to do some snatch technique tonight to train my catches- some surgs & drops and behind-the neck drops into the squat. How many sets/reps would be a good way to start? |

Probably 5 or 6 triples would be good for some technique work with light weight, Matt. This is if you have some other work you're doing this week. - Sean |

When ive been doing hang/drop snatches, overhead squat etc working on form, 8-10 sets of 2 feels nice. Allows me to really concentrate on my form. You get some real funny looks doing 10 doubles in the drop snatch in my gym. Especially with just the bar  |

I bet. At my gym, it's not uncommon to see that, but I plan on doing my technique work on my front porch early in the morning. |

2-3 reps per set, mutiple work sets 2-6 Don't use a work set weight that is so light that you don't have to concentrate on 60-70 % is probably good. Cheers Mike |

Well, I only have a bar and two 15kg bumpers at home, so that'll have to do 'till I get some more plates. Besides, really not trying to go heavy, just drill the technique in my head. |

I think Mike's just trying to point out that a lot of technique goes out the window when it gets too light, same as when it gets too heavy. With 50kg total, though, you should be alright. - Sean |

Now let's hope the bar doesn't bounce off the porch and into my landlord's truck. |
