So..i am a big believer in the CG for log press. I think it has helped me alot. I used to do the CG with a grip that was way to close, but thanks to the guys here I was corrected. Now..i realize that i may doing something else wrong. I have not been keeping my elbows in close when i am doing these. Is this a big problem? Should i keep them tight to my sides? |

Yes they should be close to the sides. To make that easier to do, bring the bar a little lower than a normal bench press. |

I agree

Don't sweat it too much- keep them as close as you are comfortable with. jesse is right about bringing the bar lower- there is kind of a natural groove to CG and your elbows and bar position will find it. |

How close is too close of a grip? I usually do them with my thunbs touching the center knurling. |
