Our TV died in May and today they are finally delivering the replacement (we paid for an upgrade). It can handle a HDTV cable signal but I'm wondering if there really is much of a picture difference. Sure, in the store they put up the best display possible but is the picture that much better at home? |

From what i've seen a very small percentage of the shows are in HD so it might not be worth it yet. |

I can speak from a little experience from this...depending what cable company you have almost all channels are offered in HD but you have to get a HD cable box. Im not sure if the dish companys do that or not but I know here that Time Warner does . |

Just wondering if there's a big difference for the cable consumer. It would cost us about $10 a month to upgrade. |
