Ok, here we go:

Competitive goals for 2006:

Open Stone - 46'
Light Weight for Distance - 72'
Heavy Weight for Distance - 38'
Light Hammer - 120'
Heavy Hammer - 95'
WOB - 15'
Caber - I want this to be one of my strongest events

- retain my Alberta championship title
- compete in a few more big competitions
- try and get ranked in the top 5 in Canada

Some tenative other goals:

DL 600x2
Bench 315 ( a sad, sad goal)
Squat 525
Zercher 405 from the bottom

I know those aren't a lot higher than my current maxes, but my competitive season really plays hell on my lifting PRs...

Man alive. I guess I still have an outside shot at some of my lifting goals, but the throwing goals are done.

No 15' in the WOB. Really struggled with that this year.

The HWFD, stone and hammer marks I actually all made, but only in practice. So the potential is there but I never put it together when it mattered.

The LWFD continues to haunt me with my best comp mark being 69'1" and best practice being 70'1". I'm missing something here and I'm not sure what it is.

Sean we will fix you up you were very close to those throwing goals when I saw you last season.

As for my goals

light stone 51'
breamar 22# 40'
light weight 83'
heavy weight 45'
heavy hammer 115'
light hammer 135'
wob 16'9''
learn the caber

All these goals are within reach I just need to do them in a comp.

As for lifting
squat 2.5x bodyweight no suit
power snatch bodyweight
behind kneck push press 400
hip snatch 245

Bodyweight 265 hopefully stay there.

By christmas 2006 I'd like to:

1. close the CoC#3 and the HG300

DONE

2. Pull 90kg on the rolling thunder

DIDN'T MANAGE IT

3. Squat 220kg (35kg to go)

DONE

4. Deadlift 220kg (just over 40kg to go!) - this is gonna be the hardest one to achieve, my deads lag behind so much.

DONE

5. Compete at least 5 times and place top 3 in at least one of them!

ONLY COMPETED ONCE AND DID BADLY

6. Reach 17stone without a gut B)

GOT TO 19 STONE AT MY HEAVIEST WITH A GUT!

7. Log press my bodyweight.

NOT YET

Deadlift 300kg.
Load 5 stones, 110-150kg.
140kg IFSA spec log.

Come top 3 in a comp.

1 out of 3.

Got the log.

I'll get the other 2 in 2007.

I made the UK U105 finals by default.
I think 2006 will be my best year in strongman
as 2007 has got off to a really bad start :P
2008 maybe a bit better ;)
