Fuckin' SLAYER!!
|
Today at work, I was merely walking across the kitchen when I felt a sharp, spasmodic pain in my left knee. It was centered above and to the right of the patella. It was odd to me because I had never had pain there before. It felt like my knee was going out, but after a minute, the pain subsided and I was able to stand and walk on it. I can bear my weight on it and I have full range of motion, including squatting down. There is no swelling, but there is some residual soreness, almost as if someone punched me in the teardrop area of my quadricep muscle. I *did* tweak my knee slightly yesterday, but it was the other side, and it's not all that sore. So. Anyone ever have this happen before? I want some idea of what I am in for before I decide to see a doctor. And yes, Sean, I always wrap and prehab the knees before training. |

No, it just felt like someone jabbed me with something sharp. I do get the snap-crackle-pops but it's never locked up on me. I didn't step wrong or twist it either. I just did some empty bar squats in my kitchen at home and it feels fine now, but I am still a little hesitant about training on it tomorrow. |

I have no idea what to tell you about this one, Matt. Looks like you trained fine on it and it seems to be happy. About the only things I might recommend is adding in some unilateral work from time to time to keep everything tracking properly, MSM and glucosamine and then everything else you do for prehab. Just one of those odd shots, from the sounds of things. - Sean |
