I agree

Not really- you may need to change pillows and stop passing out on the floor. |

Here's an interesting twist. I've had a sore neck lately, so I tried sleeping on my back with a rolled up towel under my neck, since that was supposed to help. This morning it's worse than ever. Anybody have the book "Treat your own Neck Pain"? |

I have it. How thick of a towel? If it's too big you had too much flexion in your neck. I find sometimes the towel really helps, sometimes it makes things worse. |

It was a pretty standard bath towel. I tried rolling it all the way up, and that felt like too much, so I unrolled about half of it. I think part of the problem is that I don't sleep well on my back. I always wake up on my side. I would turn onto my back every time I woke up last night to get back on the towel, but that might not have done it. |

I really only use the towel when I'm sleeping on my side- when I am on my back I don't use a pillow or anything, I find it seems to help my alignment if my head is flat- almost like a press up for the neck. Part of my problem srises from posture- my head is too far forward which puts pressure on the discs over time. So retraction is helpful hence the no pillow thing. I also find lying flat on the floor can help relieve some of the pressure. Try using a hand towel, and using it for support if you sleep on your side. Do you have the book? I can photocopy it for you if you don't. |

I've got it ordered. Found it for $3 on Amazon. Thanks for the tips. I'll give those a try tonight. |
