Just watched this, some pretty funny shit. Phil Anselmo looked like a waste case during the interviews and almost was rambling a couple times. Couldn't even open his eyes fully. |

I bet you'd get a good amount of money if you put it up on ebay. |

Anselmo used to be a guy I quite admired. I don't know who the bigger jackass is for that, but I expect it's me. |

A picture of Dimebag hangs in my cube. I consider myself fortunate to have seen them on their last tour in 2001 |

I think the respect for Anselmo came out of him singing and speaking of strength and of being apart from the crowd. It rings a little hollow now coming from a fucking junkie. - Sean |

Exactly Sean- the music, especially VDOP era, really spoke to me. When I found out about his heroin use I was bummed and have never really listened the same way to Pantera again. |

I saw Pantera like...damn 13 years ago or so? (Gettin old) and it was a fucking awesome show. Small venue, really powerful crowd and Anselmo had a real presence on stage. I'm kind of like you, Jeff. When I heard he was a junkie, all the respect just drained out of me and left me pretty disappointed. - Sean |

Speaking of disapointments. Many years ago i know this guy that was a big Judas Priest fan, he was also a massive homophob. So anyway, we would always say to him, "You know Halford is gay right?". To which his responce was always "No he isn't, shut up", it was pretty obvious even before he came out. So when he came out, we started bugging the hell out of the guy about him listening to gay music and stuff, he'd alawys flip out and tell us to shut up or he was going to kick our asses. Man that guy was a loser, coincidently his name was Phil also. |

I remember after Priest played here in 1984, one of my friends saying "Halford's gay, he had male stripers in his hotel room for his birthday." We were all "yeah bullshit, thats just rumors someone made up." Bout 10 years later, an article in the Sun Halford says "I remember Winnipeg, they sent male strippers to my room for my birthday." If I ever see that guy again I owe him an apology. |

Or you could just ask him how his stripper gig was with Halford. - Sean |

Speaking of Halford, him being gay never made any difference to me. Bunch of friends and I used to be Priest fans to the extreme and we kind of knew it all along but never cared. I still isten to their early stuff on almost daily basis to this day. |

They'll probably water it down to nothing, but you never know - this week on Much More Music they'll have four consecutive one hour programs on heavy metal. It starts on Tuesday with the early years, followed by British metal on Wednesday and so on. |

I saw Damage Plan completely by accident a few weeks before Dime was shot. I went to see the Haunted and, after they were done, a big pink goatee walked on stage and started to shred. Great show, and they finished with a few Pantera covers. When they played Walk the entire club exploded into a mosh pit, with one of the bands crew members crowd surfing with a bottle of whiskey, pouring it into open mouths below. |

I like Damageplan- didn't at first but it grew on me. The new Slayer is not bad, but to be honest all sounds the same to me. |

I've only heard the one song from the new slayer 'Cult', i wasn't overly impressed. In all fairness, it has to be dificult to continue bringing out new shit while sticking to your style, i am glad they have yet to pull a metallica. |

Watched part of the one that was on last night. For a minute, before they showed his name, i thought Blackie Lawless was a old woman.

I watched the first two, the early years and British metal. The early years was good until they started talking about Kiss. They barely mentioned Motorhead, yet they had a 10-15 min. segment on Kiss. Same with the second one. They started with Priest and Maiden but then moved to Def Leppard and Van Halen and killed it. |
