1. Jessen Paulin..............45 2. Dominic Filiou............ 41 3. Christian Savoie.........38 4. Louis-Phillipe Jean......34 5. Scott Cummine..........27 Steve Bourgeois.........27 7. Chris Colonval............24 8. Al Block.....................22 9. John Schooten............17 10. Joe Montgomery.......15 11. Grant Connors .........13 12. Sean Bates................6 OK, we've done the frame carry, bus harness pull, train wheel loading and atlas stone loading. Jessen was the only one who could load the 5th stone. Chris Colonval came sooooo close...he had it balancing on the edge of the rim, but it fell on the wrong side. Jessen, Christian and Dominic all loaded the last train wheel (440?) Only Jessen, Christian and L-P completed the course for the frame walk. It was extremely heavy this year. |

Pakistan's Strongest Man

Steve Bourgeois had pneumonia 2 weeks ago and he's lost 15lbs as a result and had a bicep injury today. Hopefully he can pick it up. Jessen was on fire for the 3 last events today. Chris Colonvale was very impressive on the stones and Scott is doing very good in general. Good western representation. |

Pakistan's Strongest Man

Day 2 was cancelled due to the rain. Tomorrow will be the final 5 events. Ken Brown attempted to break his silver dollar deadlift record at the Casino again, and barely missed 1121lbs ! He had it but fell backwards. He tried it again but I guess the first barely missed attempt Gassed him. Ken is a great guy and I'm sure he will bust that record soon enough. |

I really feel for Steve, his bad luck never seems to run out. I read an article in a local paper about his win at the Quebec Cup and it mentioned there that he came down with pneumonia just after the competition. If that isn't bad luck I don't know what is. |

Steve told me he is out. His bicep has seperated from the shoulder. The tendon looks like it's intact from looking at it, but the seperation gives it a shorter length and unatural peak. We did an exibition today at the Casino. Me and Hugo deadlifted the inch. Then Hugo strict pressed it 10 reps. Then we did rolling thunder. I worked up to 205 and missed 230 as did Alain Casselman. Louie-Philippe Jean worked up to 250 and Hugo worked up to 260. Then me, Yves Ferrier and LP 2 hand cleaned the inch and strict pressed it easily |

Insane. Congrats to Jessen, Dom, and LP Jean. They'll represent Canada well in the WSMC. I hope Steve is alright. Coming sixth in Canada with a torn bicep is amazing. Scott, you represented the West well! Great work. Anyone have any pictures, video, or write-ups? |

Congrats to all the athletes -- this was a heavy competition. Jessen & Dominic -- great, solid effort, as always. L-P is going to make a splash on the international scene. Christian was impressive -- consistent throughout (from what I saw). Scott C. -- congrats on cracking the top 5! Man, you were moving FAST in every event. Nice! |

Sweet job by Jessen defending the title.... sounds like a tough contest. Looks like Christian is constantly improving and this LP Jean character could be the next Hugo if he keeps improving at this rate!!!! Great to see our western guys do so well... we usually took a beating overall back in the day,(besides Geoffs placing) but sounds like those days are over! Can't wait to see the full results........... ----------------- |

If you can't see the results, it's because my server -- actually, every server that my host owns -- appears to be down. Is there a big storm happening on the west coast or something? |

I think he very well be just that Brad. I envy his potential. I'm going to have to work a lot harder to catch up.
Your being way to humble and modest about yourself Brad. You represented the West very honorably and had some awesome performances yourself. |
