Pakistan's Strongest Man

Shit those are blazing fast times. On an 800lbs yoke for 100ft it took me 17 seconds. The ground was a litte curved which caused me to drift off a straight line though. I guess I would have done roughly 14 considering the heavier weight. Hey, thanks a lot Peter! |

It is a unique contest-that is getting boring.A mix of events is always good.I agree Jesse,as soon as someone sees that a event requires moving forward with weights-people call it a cardio show-that's not right.Make all these events as heavy as you want-500lb husafell stone-Mariusz will still win it. |

I'm sorry lads, but I totally disagree! The Arnold Strongman contest is the best contest of the year as far as I'm concerned, and it has been for the past couple of years at least. I think the events are mostly fantastic, the ball throw being the only one I don't really rate. The organisers are constrained by the size of the stage and time considerations to a large extent with regards to events. I'd like to see a nice heavy set of atlas Stones, 140-200kg as an event instead of the ball throw. I don't think they could do that on the main stage though, and there isn't the time to do it after the bodybuilding, so unless they put that event on in a different part of the Expo, I dont see how they could manage it. Might be time to make the Apollon's Axle 10kg heavier as well - the competitors are getting too good at it now. Where a couple of years ago 3 was considered a very good score, now 3 is middle of the pack! Definately keep the axle in though - it makes a nice change from the log, which is used in probably 2 out of every 3 strongman contests. I loved the Circus Dumbell as well - it looked amazing and it was a real challenge to the competitors! |

2 events discussed were powerstairs and stones-more than enough room for both.I agree about the axle though-a little bit heavier. |
