Thinking of getting into the comp organising business myself with a little grip competition. I haven't looked into it much at all yet as the idea is new to me but it sounds interesting. I have most of the equipment that i would use such as rolling thunder, thick bars, loads of grippers, pinch devices, etc... i need to sort out a venue and a power rack though because i am considering max double overhand lockout as one of the events. If there is enough interest in this to warrant it going ahead i am thinking about these events to start with, may add more if the interest is there grippers for max close, person who shuts the hardest gripper scores max points here 2'' bar double overhand deadlift or rolling thunder again for max weight eagle loops deadlift reps with 180kg using IRONMIND eagle loops i.e. finger tip deadlift pinch grip for max using IRONMIND pinch hub double barbell farmers walk 2 barbell farmers known as the Goerner's stroll for distance/time across a course any suggestions boys??? |

Will if you could lend your #2 it would be great as i need one that isn't filed. And maybe your HG250 and 300 aswell if it's ok. the gripper event is going to work like this, it is based on ratings compared with ironmind grippers 1-4 the highest combined total left and right win for example if i were to close my #3 (3.0) with my left hand and an RB240 (3.1) with my right my score would be 6.1, hope this is clear! here are the ratings i am using for the following grippers i have felt, as everyone knows grippers vary in strength though #1 - 1.0 HG250 - 1.7 #2 - 2.0 both ends filed #2 - 2.3 easier HG300 - 2.7 HG400 - 2.8 RB210 - 2.95 #3 - 3.0 RB240 - 3.1 RB260 - 3.2 monster HG300 - 3.3 #4 - 4.0 HG500 - based on where a #5 would be if it existed i would say 4.7-4.8 i can chest crush it not much more :( |

my eagle loops have arrived after a quick test of them i found 180kg to be way to easy, i was able to pull 260kg with them without much trouble so i might make it 220kg for reps! |
