Making it look very routine, probably because it is for him, Hossein Rezazadeh power snatched 180 kg in the training hall at the World Weightlifting Championships today. Randall J. Strossen, Ph.D. photo.

This was a big workout because the Iranian star has been quiet about this recent training lifts and today his form became public. The veil was lifted more when Rezazadeh front squatted, and in signature Hossein Rezazadeh style, he did a triple with 120 kg, a triple with 220 kg and then three pretty easy singles with 270 kg.

Three singles in the front squat with 270 kg were just another day in the office for Hossein Rezazadeh, shown in the training hall at the World Weightlifting Championships (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic). Randall J. Strossen, Ph.D. photo.

The fucking 48kg women's winner put up 98/119. I'd be hard pressed to pull that off right now. Unreal.

I would have, on my best comp, beat her by a whopping 7kg. And her best C&J is 1kg higher than mine.

And I'm only 40kg heavier :P

Kolecki never has been the same since the back injury. He did 182.5/230 as a junior in the 2000 Olympics, didn't he? And isn't his best C&J 237.5?

And bodyweight decided it all, hey? Rough.

He did 232 as a 94, still junior record, in 2000. Thought he did 240 as a 105.

The mens weights in the 105 and the +105 class seemed rather low.
