i`ll try the vaseline in the sock tonight
I work until 3 on a fri & sat night .
When i get home i`m absolutely knackered &
feel like i could sleep forever.
I go to bed fall sleep ,but when my wifes alarm goes off
i just cant get back to sleep.Even if i try getting a nap
in the afternoon i just lay there & cant get to sleep.
Any ideas on how to get around this would be helpful as
it`s starting to take it`s toll.
Sorry for those that find this a stupid question.
:respect

Sleeping pills. They have helped me through several bouts of insomnia.

Sounds silly and maybe it's psychosomatic but I have a banana/egg white/milk/cinnamon shake 30 mins before bed and I sleep like a baby. I went through a year of insomnia and started with the shakes and it cured me. The milk is a sedative and apparently some people who don't sleep well have a potassium deficiency (banana). I throw the egg whites in for recovery (albumin). I hear that glutamine before bed works well too.

I use ear plugs when i'm travelling and they work well too. Just make sure you crank your alarm! :)

tis an on going problem mate, i end up on duty till 3 then nick someone , thats me in custody till 5 , then home. normal days are bed at 10 then up again at 5. do you drink much tea and coffee? i listen to music or my mrs talking that puts me to sleep. Is your bed comfortable enough? facing the right direction? Good air flow throught the room seems to be another problem.
