Got sciatica, which was originally lower back pain. but keeping up with deadlifting, seemed to lessen the back pain but turned it into sciatica which I feel in my lower right leg, went to the G.P. who has sent me to a physio, but the physio doesn't seem to be that competant. Anyone had treatment for Sciatica or found anyway to lessen the effects themselves? |

Swings are great for the Multifidi muscles that support your spine. But, often there are faster, less painful ways to get back pain under control. I usually recommend swings after the pain is 70-80%+ under control to get to 100% and help prevent recurrance. There's a pretty good comprehensive article linked above to help you deal with your back pain. I'll try to stick around to answer any questions you have. Pain moving from the low back to the leg, especially calf, is BAD. (you want to pain to move back to the central spine -even if it increases at first- so then it can go away completely) |
