can you step in at a diff weight on the axle? >>There will be a safe zone that you will be allowed to lower the conans and regrip if you wish if you stop and regrip, you can keep going? i always thought you had just one chance to grip and you go for broke? |

I think he'll add - 'providing it does not touch the ground'. So by all means adjust away but I'd guess you'll be fucked if you do. |

Administrator and don't you bastards forget it
|
The rule on the conans is at the start position there is a dead zone of normally one meter in which you can pick up the bar and set down again to adjust if required. However, once you leave this dead zone at the start any further touching down of the equipment to the floor ends the run. You have a time limit from the start whistle to leave this dead zone at the start. 20 seconds is considered acceptable |

You do every lift in the axle by safe zone i mean when you pick it up at the start you will have a 1m safe zone if you step backwards or are not happy with your position you can put it down and reposition yourself once you have stepped outside the safe zone it's a case of when it hits the floor you go has finished and a distance will be taken. As above Tom has it spot on just beat me to it by a minute. |

Once the whistle to start is blown you have a time limit that does vary between competitions somewhat. Between 20 / 30 seconds is normal although I have seen longer. Refs decision on the day. With it being a novice show with many lads unfamiliar with the kit a longer time limit might be considered acceptable. |

There will be a time limit of say 20 seconds (we have near 30 people to get through) but trust me ther is no comfortable position with 260kg resting on your chest crushing you diaphram. It's more if you loose balance and step backwards. |
