Max axle over head lift round robin style. Very simple and fast paced. Athletes will form a line first man steps up and has 20 second to complete the lift than the second man steps up and then the third and so on. When all athletes have lifted all the successful lifter have another turn on the increased weight this continues each round until a winner is found. All methods of clean are allowed all methods of press are allowed. As many attempts can be made during the time limit of 20 seconds. Support equipment allowed. Knee wraps. Wrist wraps. Belts. Elbow supports. |

Part of the point of this style of event is that everyone has to make every lift, and that you are under real time pressure to make each lift. As such, it puts "double" pressure on the lifter not just to be strong but actually be in shape. It also has the real bonus of being very exciting for the crowd (a lifter can be bombing away in each round, snapping it up, and suddenly hit a wall, whilst another lifter may not be as impressive to begin with but will get better with each round - who will win?), and quick to run. It's also fucking good fun to do. |

I was going to go for the good old 29 pionts for the winner 28 for second etc but i might have to rethink. Might go the way of the grip comp and use fractions of the highest score. Ie if the winner gets 100kg on the axle he gets 100 points so 1kg = 1 point so if you got 97.5 kg you score 97.5 point if you got 60kg you score 60. |

I don't think the points per kg will work mate and would certainly bias some events. I have a couple of ideas for the scoring I could run by you if it helps. I would base it around lowest score wins , so First place receives one point, 2nd = two points with a few further modifications for lowere placings . With such a large number of competitors this allows a consistent points split if athletes drop out half way through the comp with no adjustment to the point split required |

I think the key with large fields is to keep the points spread such that one poor event does not ruin someones chances of a good placing. So I would, and again just an idea, is have it so that anyone placing say 15th to 28th all receive the same 15 points (on the basis of 1 point for for first). This keeps everyone in the race for a top three and yet does not play against athletes placing well throughout the comp. I know what it's like when people all start chiming in Mate so take it for what it is. |
