Any lifter that wants to lift raw is welcome ,leotard is exceptable although new lifters who want to have they first comp who dont have gear may be accepted .as we dont run a national raw comp wraps and belt are allowed for safety reasons, membership to BPC is compulsory before lifters can lift either day pass or full membership, this comp is for lifters who need to qualify for British and also for new lifters who want to lift and enjoy the day all are welcome to lift,as long as lifters are members for day of BPC for other orgs they are welcome also Spoke with Justin last night and may be a option in near future to have a training squad day in his gym in Cardiff say before British and will be a good day for all lifters who need advice on lifting technique ,diet etc, will alos speak with Craig about setting a comp up at Bristol later in year for west country area Garry Bamsey |

NP Mate There will be another Hirep Bash planned for around November 2008 but the name might have to be changed to an area championship and the venue also possibly the local sports center that has bleachers , car parking , music licence and a gym connected to the main hall thats never used for anything for warming up area. we used the place a few years ago to hold an IPF international comp between 3 kent clubs against Belgium and was the biggest and best comp ever held in this area. |

BPC South East Powerlifting Championships details -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Gallery Health Club Vale Road Windsor Berkshire SL45LA It is my greatest pleasure to invite you to The South East Powerlifting Competition 2008 at The Thames Valley Athletics Centre, Eton, Berkshire. We have held The South East Powerlifting Championships for the last 6 years. This will be the 7th running and will be returning to Eton. The competition will be held on Saturday 27th April and will start at 10am sharp. We will have to be very strict with time keeping in order to fit all lifters into 1 day. All entries with (NO EXCEPTIONS) must be in by Monday 31st March. I would advice you to enter ASAP as last year we had over 50 lifters and this year I can only accept 40 lifter maximum. The entry fee to compete will be £30. You will need to be a member of the BPC or join at the weigh in. Anyone who has not paid by the weigh in will not be allowed to compete. It will be £6 for spectators. The weigh in will be carried out at The Gallery Health Club, Windsor, Berks on either Saturday 26th April from 10am-5pm or on Sunday 27th April from 7am-10am. This year I believe will be the best qualifier ever in terms of standard of lifters and we hope to make this the most professional South East Yet. Just a few things we will be doing to improve: 1. New Sponsors. 2. Goodie bag for all lifters. 3. Brand new equipment to lift on. 4. New platform. I wish you all the best, Yours in lifting Mark Cullimore |
