Top 4. WTF

Indeed. An issue that needs resolving as per the association thread.

Jay and Rich were each given a wildcard, Oli and Jimmy won their place outright.

Is Oli any where near back to his best yet ?

Cant wait for BSM, quite a few up and coming strongmen kicking around at the minute.

Its a shame more of our guys are not on the international scene. Jimmy Marku and Westaby, Holding etc are better than some strongmen who get SS places every comp.

PS - Whats happened to big Terry, is he still alive and well ?

Now you're boring us
Terry is traing hard and will be the fave for BSM.

Oli is looking huge and strong and will bring his fitness up for brits.

Jimmy is fitter than ever and still as strong as a bull.

Felix seems 2 get better even tho hes 42/43

We have alot of strong guys at the mo and i feel this will be the strongest BSM ever.

The reason I ask about Oli, is due to him coming second behind Jimmy and I mean no disrespect to Jimmy.

Jimmy is almost the perfect build for strongman and a good character to watch as he has lots of personality , he has a similar build and reminds me a bit of rob dixon for those who can remember him.

I cant wait for this years BSM, but I repeat what i said previously - the strongmen who we have in this country are better than some of the guys on t.v at the minute, SS seems to be very biased.

Any news on Darren Saddler and Mick Holding ?

Jimmy's a very strong fella and is improving with his technique with the equipment which was his main weakness, just through lack of contest experience. I think Oli was 1/2 point behind Jimmy so it was close, and Oli was first in the log, deadlift and the tyre. Oli was 4th in the farmers which seems to be his worst event, but he's working on it and 3rd in the barrel and stone load. He's not as fit as he was, but has only been back in full training for a couple of months, as his bicep was still restricted. Well done to Jimmy and the other qualifiers and to all who competed.
