Some additiotional comments from the competition:

7. Pekanov. Brutaly strong, extremely heavy (186 kg)...but endurance does not seem to be a big problem...always very good on deadlift for reps and so on. But speed...his genbank has carved in stone the name strong but the speed....unfortenately he does not seem to be able to do stuff fast...like stones...Incredeble 2 reps on the heavy atlas stone at arnolds...so everyone nows he will never miss on loading a stone....but since it goes so slow he always get beaten by the majority of the competitors because they are faster.

5. Muruments. He was very relaxed this time and had his wife and son with him. His son was seen by his (his about 4 years) side most of the time...I asked him if that did not effect his concentration...he said that he expected nothing better than 4-6 place in this comp so it was no problem. Muruments a very good athlete that does not seems to look at him self as being as good as he realy is.

4. Koklyaev...good in wiking press...some problems at the last meters with the wheelbarrow (he was lucky that he made it becasue he went out of cource the last meters)..Brutal in deadlift....struggled with the youke (as most guys) but I belive he had the most air time so to say...waking slowly without putting it down..Had problems with the tyreflips in the medly and that costed him alot of points...made a good finish with the stones.

3 Agris He had home soil and he realy loved it and the audience loved it also. Agris cant speak English so I can never talk to him (I went by him with car for a total of 7 hours last year for lithuania grand prix without being able to say a word to each other). He is getting better al the time and a belive his best quality is to move with heavy weights...wonn the wheelbarrow and second in the youke.

2. Travis He was happy and looked eager to compete all the time. His confidence is growing (with all right) and that keeps moving him in the right direction. Surprised me with his overall high quality and finished of with stones that was crasy!

1. Savickas He was very relaxed this time. Joked about that no I dont use legs in pressing events because it is so dangerous. His job is to be a profesional strongman and he does a great job. He did not look hungry this time so to say but still his performance was nothing to complain about :respect

Mr Iran...we should remeber that he never brags himself(as far as we could tell bacuause he cant speak english)...Ironmind loves to write what he gets from his couch......however the athlete seems to bee a rather shy guy and I belive he is strong....how good he is in strongman is still unseen but we will soon see and I guess that it will be good...but how good??

Those are some interesting observations Anders- congrats on your performance and thanks for taking the time to post your write-ups!

Sounds like Iran's version of Dominic Filiou.

Brimming with confidence about Farzad Mousakhani, Omid Amiri told IronMind that, “If he have not any problem, I know that he can take [would have taken] first or second place in Riga.”

And my dad, Farzad stated' can beat up there dads any day of the week.

It seems Z and Travis don't know how lucky they were that Farzad bottled it sorry I mean pulled out with injury.

'If I was not injured I would have won' what a fucking prick
