Results at : http://results.powerlifting.org/?eventid=2008CZE1 As usual and expected, eastern nations, especially the Ukraine, dominate the competition, with a few notable exceptions. Some athletes are getting podium classifications and medals that, had Russia not been suspended, would have been impossible. Congratulations to Hildeborg Hugdal, who managed to edge Inna Orobets (the great Vasil' Orobets' daughter) for the gold in the women superheavyweight class. Önerud presented lower results than what he had at the swedish championships. Was it because of off-form or because he was forced to squat lower ? |

I totaly agree that from what I have seen he have had squats approved that he should not have had! However it has also happened outside Sweden that for some reason his none deep squats have been approved. |
