Maybe they should have changed if from 'Bedlam' to 'Card Subject to Change' with the amount of replacements, but anyway:- Matt Hughes v Thiago Alves Michael Bisping v Jason Day Mike Swick v Marcus Davis Fabricio Werdum v Brandon Vera Nate Marquardt v Thales Leites Edited by Neil, Jun 6 2008, 11:08 AM.

Alves wasn't even close to making weight, 174lbs. |

It was a terrible event. UFC should stop serving alcohol within the arena. Outside fine but most of the crowd were pissed football hooligans. They hadn't a clue about the fighting and were more interested in getting blotto and doing mexican waves. The fights were average to say the least. Alves finished Hughes in style but it was the first time Hughes looked smaller and much weaker than an opponent. Bisping for once did a good job but I'm still not a fan. Mike Swick is good but looked average tonight. Vera was unlucky to be stopped. They need to review the early stoppages when people are clearly defending themselves and not getting hurt. Also the points of for accidental hits to the back of the head, stupid rule. I fear that, in England at least, the crowds are more 'fight club' than UFC. They just wanna see a scrap. Well there were enough fights afterwards to please them I suppose. Wankers. Nick |

Marquardt shouldn't have had the second point removed. That was clearly the side of the head with that elbow. It was, however, a much closer fight than I expected. Swick was dull but implemented a smart game plan. |

I was there too. I also think if the fights had been more special the crowd would have stayed more involved. |

From what i've seen of this one and what i saw of the WEC event. The WEC event (for free) was far better. |

I think the card was changed to much for it to get excited about. Alves not making weight was probably the final straw. UFC might not admit it, but I think they'll be a bit disappointed by this PPV as far as selling the product in Europe is conerned. Edited by Neil, Jun 12 2008, 03:55 PM.

Same here. SkySports is doing my head, instead of trying to get the rights to the likes of UFC & keeping Boxing they're putting on crap like Poker & Powerboating.
