Loz is a deadlifting machine. How the hell do you do 11 reps with anything in 60 seconds ! never mind 280kg.

Great to see Mick back in the game and it seems Oli is made of something else to still be competing with the injuries he has :respect

Well done everyone especially Loz, Rob, Martin, Oli and Kelv some incredible perfomances.

Now you're boring us
Great event 2day run by steve and his gang. You boys and girls did a fab job.

First i would like 2 wish Dave Waters a speedy recovery. he went before me on the farmers and i was at the side watching, he riped his quad and dislocated his knee on the other leg(it was a hugo moment). all the best dude.

well done 2 Mick he was very good allround and deserved his win.

My aim 2day was 2get through with no injuries which is exactly what i did. I feel fine and will be back in the gym 2moro.

farmers was quite easy as im feeling confidant with this event and just went in 4th gear for a safe run.

the log was rubbish by me but no excuses. i was hoping for 8 and did 8 but i was told i locked out just after the whistle, so only 7. no probs with the call as it was after the whistle. but a low 6th place.

anvil carry, i got 2 go last (big advantage in this event) and did enough 2 win.

Deadlift 280kg for reps.

went head 2 head with mick and just made sure i was one ahead. I had a good 3left in me if i needed them but as ive improved ive learnt 2 pace myself through the day rather than killing myself in every event.

last event was the stones, well done 2 wayne who has improved alot on this event. i was slow and steady but did them all.

some great performances by some of the guys 2day. Martin is looking much bigger and stronger, Richard has improved alot since i last saw him and if wayne holds back 10% he will be doing very well.

Ive got 2days of training ahead of me then im off 2 belurus on wed for a comp. (thanks Denny)

Looking forward to the final of this.

Well done everyone

Loz B)

I believe you are watching a man become a World Class Strongman before your very eyes. Laurence may not have won this one but his recent performances are showing his commitment and passion for the sport we all love.

This is another competition I missed and wished I'd seen. Well done to everyone and good to see my old 105kg compadre, Martin Jones, stepping up the plate and mixing it in good style with the heavies. (I hear you're weighing near 120kg these days!!!).

Congratulations to the promoters and athletes alike.

Nick
