Though i'd put this cause i was sooooooo pleased how i got my new P.B. Got back from work earlier than usual on Saturday due to starting at 6am. So i thought i'd get a Squat M/E and Deadlift D/E session in. Got to the gym at 5.35 walked in up to the back of the gym where the Squat rack is spoke to a few mates,one of them who works there said "you've got 23 minutes". Til what? "Til the gym shuts" Fuck off it shuts at 10pm "No they stopped that ages ago cause the place was dead saturday nights cause of members going clubbing" I believe my words were "f*!$king c*$nts" So i thought i'll do as many sets of Squats as i can til i get chucked out. 50kg 15 reps, 80kg 10, 110kg 5, 140kg 3, 200kg 1rep,230kg 1 By this time it had just gone 6pm so one more quick set. 260kg 1 rep which flew up.So i thought i'd go 275kg which was 5kg more than the week b4 and my best since coming back. But i thought fuck it i'm going for a new PB by 2.5kg Loaded the bar,looked up and the was no one in the gym and i mean NO ONE. I then spotted my mate who works there and said that i just want one more set and this was at 6.05pm,he said ok and i asked him to come up and watch just in case something goes wrong.By the time i'd wrapped my knee's another face had appeared. Went for it and got a life time best in belt and wraps of 282.5kg BW 16st 5lbsMe mate who works there said he has never seen that much weight squatted in a gym in his life and said anyone who has been close has never gone parallel let alone deeper beyond that.I took this as a huge compliment and it made me wanna go for 285kg but i was out of time. Now i know its not a mental weight by powerlifting standards and some people may think this is a long drawn out post just for that but i'm so happy for 3 reasons. 1. its the most i've squatted (with out a squat suit) 2. the fact that i had none of the usual 10/15 gym members watching me.It was so dead,even the music had been turned off lol but i still got fired up enough. 3. This M/E Squat session was done in just over 25 minute's Thanks for reading this if you bothered to.

Never been able to do it Oly style Herc,you know that.Not front Squatted in ages but was actually planning to hit some this week. Most i've done is around 205kg. |
