GREEK COMEDY
Welcome to the forum, Skyline :)

It's strange that they...cut a Moustakas film on DVD. You mean it's a short version?

HINDI HORROR POSTERS
Nice info, my friend, god knows how much I like these details :)

CONTEST #40: BICHUNMOO - Deluxe 2DVD Set
There are many idiots in IMDb posting bad reviews even for Argento & Fulci top films! What can I say?

But there are also some serious people posting reviews there, a couple of them are also members of Cinehound :)

Fotoromanzi sadico-erotici
Ah, I read more carefully, so they're all with the superhero GENIUS! I've never heard them before but they look very good! Good luck with your sales :)

Fotoromanzi sadico-erotici
Welcome to the forum Dag :)

These GENIUS photo romances look marvellous. Are there from real films with actors or not? I don't really know about them, could you provide further info? Are just stories shot for the magazine? Because some Italian mags of the 70s - like Cinesex - had stories taken from real giallo/horror/sleazy films!

HINDI HORROR POSTERS

KIZIL TUG - CENGIZ HAN
By the way I forgot to tell you about those "New Onar Trailers" (extras in this release):

CICI CAN, you know this already, a weird flick of the 60s. Some Turk collectors claim is no good, I find the trailer at least interesting...

ALTIN COCUK - this is an old turkish spy gem! Looks superb, I cannot wait for the release!

KAPTAIN SWING - you know, the comic hero! I didn't expect it to be so funny, but it was one of my favourite heroes so I cannot wait for this too!

MASKELI UCLER - a superhero flick with tons of sleaze! Looks fantastic!

KIZIL TUG - CENGIZ HAN
Yes, the book alone with a bonus DVD with that Turkish Fantastic Cinema Documentary complete! A nice idea, but I suppose Bill wanted these as extras to support his DVD releases...That is a good idea too!

New Onar Trailers
IMDb info: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0319691/
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gut9WJPrc4A
Synopsis: "ONAR presents the oldest Turkish Historical Peplum Sword film surviving! Made in 1952 and considered lost till now it precedes the Italian Peplums by many years and puts them to shame. A spectacular and epic production proving that the older the better when it comes to Turkish Fantastic Cinema! The only surviving material was unearthed in watchable condition but thanks to Onar's touch the result is now better!"

If you're a Peplum films fan then be happy! The new Onar release is a nice old b/w Turkish peplum film about Genghis Khan. Or to be more specific a film about a hero named Otsukarci (Turan Seyfioglu) who saves Genghis Khan from his brother's knife and then become a close friend. Most of the film is about Otsukarci's adventures & fights in a castle...and his romances too! A nice and typical peplum with good & bad guys, honour, friendship, betrayal, romance, fights etc in the times of the Kings!

Not a masterpiece but a cool film. At the end there is also a very bloody fight. If you like peplums then you'll enjoy!

Picture & sound have a few problems but we must thank Bill who brings this flick back from the grave. We all know how rare these films are and how difficult is to find a such old Turkish film in a really good condition!

There are many extras in the disc, the best is "Documentary: Turkish Fantastic Cinema - Part 1". Bill has a long documentary in his hands that covers all the genres of Turkish fantastic cinema! Here is the first part about -what else?- Turkish epic historical/peplum films!

But I keep the best for the end of this review: DVD comes with a deluxe 40 pages colour booklet that is the full guide for Turkish Fantastic Cinema! With titles and credits, a small synopsis, and even many nice posters and lobby cards, this book covers all genres: horror/mystery, fantasy/fairy tales, karate, historical, western, science fiction, fantastic in general, superheroes :)

Beleive me, even if you're not a peplum fan you should buy this DVD only for this INCREDIBLE book! And remember, this is a very limited edition of 500 copies !!

I'm really proud because I helped Bill a little with the horror section...This book is a MASTERPIECE!

Grab your copy today from Onar's shop:
http://www.onarfilms.com

And more info about it in Onar's blog:

Would it be cool to have “Scandinavian exploitation cinema forum” in Cinehound? I would love to read about exploitation cinema made in other parts of Scandinavian. And I promise to write some info on Finnish films…

To be honest I know almost nothing about Scandinavian exploitation. As we have now a lot of members from there that could be a good idea...I don't know. I would like to hear more opinions from others.

But if you like you could open a thread about SCANDINAVIAN EXPLOITATION, it will be interesting...

I'm waiting for more opinions here!
